Would be a good fight.Mack has been on a role lately and Glen has looked old. Stilkl I'd favor him with Mack's bad stamina.
When was it verified that Mack v Murat was canceled? Quick history on the fight. It was supposed to be on in Germany in the beginning of January. Then those negotiations fell through. Mack then found a fight on the undercard of Paulie M v Diaz. Then Murat and Mack were back in negotiations for a fight in Germany at the end of January. Then those fell apart. I spoke to make less than 4 days ago and he said that they finally did work something out. And that this time it would be in america on the undercard of Berto-Mosley. Are we sure that the plans falling apart are in reference to the most recent attempt? Or could it be refering to the past two attempts?
Just spoke to Mack and he said that Murat's team doesn't want the fight in the States anymore. Will only do it in Germany. And that they are only offering Mack 12K to fight Johnson. That's petty cash.
I like Mack-makes for good fights. Johnson is a tall order but I think Mack might pull it off. Mack-Cloud is the fight I want to really see. 175 needs to get out of the seniors business. Dawson,Mack, Cloud, Pascal, are the ones I want to see face each other.
Oh, Dawson gets full credit from me - he toyed with Glen. There was a night and day difference from the first fight. It was more than simply Chad looking better; Glen was also slower and less effective. It's not a one or the other situation, it can definitely be (and was, IMO) both.
The winner of the Super 6 will be a big time player looking for big time fights. If the winner wanted to move up a division then whoever is left standing at 175 would make for a big fight.
Regarding Mack's bad stamina. I really think it was more of an issue of him struggling to make supermiddle. Since being a light heavy he hasn't had one of those Berrio or Andrade moments. I really think Mack is class. This guy is something special. Now we're saying that it's only kind of impressive that Mack beat Henry. But at the time, going into that fight, this was Henry who imposed himself greatly on Diaconu. And this was Mack's first fight against a bully of a lightheavy like Henry. Mack handled that task incredibly well. And he's certainly not choosey with his opponents. He's been on the indecisive whims of Murat and camp since October.... planning, ditching, replanning, ditching again, replanning again, ditching again.
Mack vs Johnson should be on HBO what a shame. Mack and Johnson have been training hard. Johnson coming forward and will try to wear down his opponent. Mack will be countering and using use slick moves. We be a WAR
