"He's on the run like the one-armed man in "The Fugitive."* Eventually the law catches up with him," said Dawson.*

"Well I'm the sheriff of the light heavyweight division and I'm putting a stop to Hopkins' con.
    *

First, he said he'd fight the winner of my fight with Glen Johnson.* I won and Hopkins hid.*

Second, he said he'd fight the winner of my rematch with Johnson.* I won and this time Hopkins chose to fight some guy named Enrique Ornelas, who has lost to almost every decent middleweight he's ever fought.* And on top of that, the fight isn't worthy of being broadcast on HBO, Showtime or even ESPN 2!*

    Desperate people do desperate things.*

Hopkins knows that if he fights me he's looking at a loss of Calzaghe proportions.* "Bernard, it's time for you to pack it in and get out of my division.* If you're not willing to fight the best light heavyweight, move along and quit wasting everyone's time.* Your deep well of excuses, along with your credibility has dried up.*

You weighed 175 pounds for tonight's fight, Roy Jones was knocked out in 122 seconds today and HBO has a March date available.* No more excuses.* Get onboard with HBO's original plan for us to fight each other, or, as you told ESPN.com this morning,* go run "a marathon to super-greatness" away from me."

He is 100% correct, there is no excuse for that fight not to happen.

If boxing still has a shred of sport, self respect, and credibility left in it, that fight happens 100 times out of 100 over Hopkins vs Jones.

Hopkins is P4P no 4 and currently "the other guy" at LH. If Hopkins is still a serious fighter and not a circus act, he needs to fight Dawson - otherwise get Bernard out those rankings, imo. Fighting Jones now is a joke.

It's not a serious fight. Hopkins is 200. Dawson wants his exposure. Hopkins wants that "lamp light" for a little while longer. It doesn't matter who Bernard fights, it matters who Dawson fights. Dawson is coming from a desperate place. No confusion. Hopkins has no problem letting someone else toil in obscurity. He was there, he made it.

it seems like dawsons been hanging out with berto waaay too much latey lol.

i swear, its like a ongoing cycle where the 'new guys' gotta call out and disrespect the 'old guy' to get a shot. look, i respect chads hunger for wanting to fight the best out but calling b-hop of all fighters a duck is insane.

Bernard won't fight Dawson because you cold smear horse**** all over Chad and he still couldn't draw flies on a hot summer day.

At 44 years old and looking like a snail against a C level middleweight, I doubt Hopkins has anything in his arsenal that would beat Dawson.

B-Hop still beats Dawson in my view.
Dawson would give him too many opportunities to counter and unlike Calzaghe, I doubt Dawson can tighten up and make Hopkins miss him to land.
