Sorry mate I generally think your points are well put even if I don't agree with a lot of them.....

...But that forearm smash would have put anybody down.

Hagler would have gone down to that.

And actually I do think Joe recovered pretty quickly.

Also pretty sure that comment I made about benn is correct. When I get a spare 5 mins I'll see if I can find you a link but I'm sure it's in his bio as well.

 

I actually think the cuffing shot jones hit Joe with was better than hitting him with the fist. That woulda done him IMO

 

I don't need to cheapen your argument because you do it yourself. Let me just say this, I'm happy to have you trawl my posts for me saying Kessler is going to dominate and make Calzaghe look awesome.

In response, I'll trawl yours and expose your lack of objectivity, you know deep down the posts I'm referring to.

I really don't have the inclination because 90% of the time I love your posts but the thing is I don't like being put into the category of the nuthuggers/hero worshippers on the General because that isn't me. One thing is to like a fighter and have an avatar and another is to lack objectivity and disrespect the sport in that way. It's just a shame 10% of your posts are Calzaghe related :yep

He said when he hit Joe with that shot in the first he knew that was the end of the fight. He knew it was game over.

Have a look at Roy at the end of the first, he looks at Joe in amazement at the fact he was still there fighting. Serious.

 

Unfortunately for you the fight didn't end there. Calzaghe took punches from Jones seemingly without any real problem including an uppercut which was probably about as hard as Roy could throw and Calzaghe's head went 180 degrees. Coincidence? The empirical evidence owns you my friend :scaredas:

Jones was probably amazed he had actually knocked someone decent down, the last time he stopped anyone by knocking them down was Virgil Hill ten years earlier. :good
