Hey guys, First off I know this is hard to say because it depends person to person but I wanted some input. I fluctuate from 164-167 right now without trying too hard to stay at this weight (just don't drink and don't eat sweets too often) I run, but nothing extraordinary. Now, the next weight class down is 156. Do you think I could make it down there w/o feeling too weak? I am 6'4ish and to be honest I have barely any fat on me at all... Just wanted some input.
    Thanks

If you barely have any fat on you than probably not. But the only way to find out is to increase your running and clean up your diet and see.

Also, are you sure it's 156? How old are you, maybe it's different for younger people, but for "Elite" (19+) it's 152 (or 151.8 to be exact). 156 would be perfect for me. I'm a bit too big to make 152 but too small for 165.

my trainer said it's 156. I could have sworn there was a 152 and 158 weight class... So i can't be too sure i know for 100% fact there is a 152 though.

Around 164lbs at 6'4 is underweight enough! I'm the same weight at 5'11, I feel and look skinny at that size.

Don't lose more weight, I can't see it being very good for you.

6 foot 4 and 164? jesus. Sounds like you don't need to struggle losing more weight!

The question you should be asking yourself is WHY are you trying toget down to 156 when your 6ft 4. Im 6ft 1 and weigh 80lbs more than you.

I'm 6 1, got my first fight friday at 75 kilos and I'm pretty tall for my weight, I don't have any more fat that I want to lose either.

haha dont worry I'm staying at 165... I just got my physical today, 6'3 164lbs. I dont look unhealthily skinny though... it's weird. I mean i look skinny dont get me wrong, but nothing ridiculous.

Most young guys loose weight when they start boxing training, depending, of course, on how old they are. Don't worry about your weight, worry about your skills, health and fitness. Your body will take care of the rest.
