Green v Chad Dawson - would that shut everyone up if he won ?

Next thing he will be posting that Ali dominated Larry Holmes and was robbed by a bad ref stoppage. It's beyond a joke some of the comments people make.

 

Thats pretty much how I see it happening too. Though I couldn't rule out a Green KO. Dawson has defensive issues, not too dissimilar to Jones, so Green would have some sort of chance.

green was suppose to be humiliated by jones for christ sake. well that didn't happen did it. but now of course jones was shot. did u not see the jabs thrown by jones, he still had plenty but was tagged by the hungrier man.

green may find it difficult against dawson but he would get tagged by green plenty of times and sooner or later one of the danny bombs will floor him.

I had it like 117-110 or something for Dawson.
Dawson completely annihilated Adamek for the entire fight besides pretty much round 10 where he suffered the knockdown.
Adamek by the way was a HUGE light heavyweight & if anything this win is very impressive looking at far Adamek has gone since at Cruiserweight & beyond.

If you can't accept that the majority of people would pick Dawson to easily account for Green, then I suggest you better not read any threads on the subject, because Dawson easily beating Green would be an opinion shared by many.

 

It was a great win for Dawson, and apart from the KD and maybe one of the other rounds after it, he completely dominated Adamek.

 

I'm not sold on Dawson yet.

He takes rounds off and can be hit, which suggests he's not 100% focused every round.

BTW, Adamek's success at CW and now at HW also suggests that he was struggling to make LHW :hey

i just can't believe after what u saw against jones that u would virtually give green zero chance against dawson. but if that's peoples opinion then fine but i think they are very unfair and maybe bias in their opinion.

 

I think you're the one being bias fella.

If they did fight I'd be cheering for Green, and would want him to win more than I did against Roy.

I'm certainly not giving him 'zero' chance. I see Dawson as being suspect on the whiskers, and if Danny did land big he'd have a great shot at beating him.

The flip side is that if he isn't able to land anything or bully him, he'd lose terribly.

Nothing bias about it, I just call it the way I see it.

 

listen right, i'm not biased and i'm not making ridiculous statements.

it was commented here that dawson would humiliate green if they fight. imo that means it is expected green has virtually zero chance of beating him. which i think is hogwash.

of course dawson would start favourite and be expected to win on points. but u only have to look at the result of wednesdays fight to know that green is going to tag dawson at some stage and i'd be surprised if he stayed on his feet when it happens.

 

I tipped Green to beat Jones Jnr.

Likewise, I would bet EVERYTHING I had that Dawson would win a wide UD over Green.

But, I guess it would shut people up if he beat Dawson. It just wont happen. His a good chance to beat BHop for mine; but once again, people would still have ALOT of problems with that.

 

if green can beat jones after the awesome display he put on against lacy( yes i know lacy isn't the best boxer in history but he was a credible fighter ) then green has a great chance against dawson, albeit he would be the underdog.

 

If Green ever even fought Chad Dawson i would give him alot of credit because Dawson is an excellent fighter and Green, well he is far from it.
