PW still has better resume than Martinez

I hope this fight quiets the ****s who said Williams simply had an "off night" against Quintana. Clearly the man has trouble with slick southpaws and he hasn't quite figured out how to fight them yet.

well we have yet to see if paul was overrated or sergio is really that good. Id like to see him take on another title holder at 154 before I can confidently call him top dog at 154

because many had him in their top 7 or 8. And tonights fight and the quintana fight showed that paul might be overrated and ranked too high. Same as when darchiniyan fell off most peoples top 10 after the agbeko fight

i had the fight a draw... i thought martinez was class before this fight, but he fought like a top ten PFPer. look at the plethora of adjustments he made through out the match, when pwill would surge. the lead left, then lead left to the body. lead to set up to 3. then his footwork. it was a class performance. both men proved they have some type of heart as well. i dont think i diminishes either fighter... i do think pwill wasnt quite as prepared as he should have been, but he dug deep and did what he had to do. but i do think this fight was so grueling on both sides that they might have left something in the ring

the difference between PW and darchinyan is PW has the deeper resume than darchinyan. Add that to the fact that darchinyan has yet to avenge his KO loss

Martinez hasn't lost a fight in 10 years, and pretty clearly stopped Kermit Cintron. That in addition to, in my opinion, beating Paul Williams, is sufficient enough evidence to suggest Martinez is very good indeed.

Why so bitter about the Williams win? How much money did you lose.

and speaking of kids, who is the one name calling because his fighter lost tonight??

    think about that.

yeah but Paul beat Wright decisively. Just on that people have to give him the benifit of the doubt and think maybe it is a style matchup. Let's see how he does in his next fight. After seeing this fight Pavlik might want to fight him again.

Did Winky give him problems? Did Kolle give him problems? 5 of his last 6 fights have been against southpaws.
