    Bunce is top bloke!

I 've done a psot on here about the only scenario that I can envisage a JC comeback. I remember before the Lacy fight thinking I hope he bashes him up to stop all the doubters talking ****. But here we are 4 years later.........

Seriously the big part of me hopes he says in well earned retirement. But there is a small part of me that wishes he would come back and shut everybody up. The trouble is how would he do it? Hopkins would be a waste of time. Not just because it was a **** fight last time but because if he beats him everybody just says age finally caught up with him. Dawson would be Lacy all over again where everybody just goes 'oh well he wasn't as good as we thought he was!'.

Who else? The doubters doubt because they want to. There is not a fighter on the planet that Joe could come back and beat that would shut them up. There will always be some reason. By the way did you check out that nigel benn thing?

Can't see it though Fleaman, I do think well of him- seeing him at Ringside friday was pretty cool, I do admire him a lot. But the problem I have is excepting him as perfection. I didn't like his cringy showboating, I think he failed to engage in tough fights but he was undoubtably a fabulous fighter. I think that I even have to argue against him is testimony to how well thought of he is by many. One of the best brits ever, no doubt.

    Couldn't agree more Jeff :good

As you know I tipped Rees as I thought he was fighting for Newbridge's future. Let's hope Bradley can take inspiration from Gav.

How do you think the best Gavin Rees could do at 135?

Yep, I was really pleased for Gavin. His career has been a bizarre one but he can now really get some big domestic fights. If he does well there, move him on. He needs to be focused now as this is an important time in his career.

His standard of opponent considering that he is 31-1 is appalling...thats what Jeff is alluding to I think. The man is a decent fighter as demonstrated when he does bother to step up but he just seems to like to feed on men with losing records.

When Hatton got beat by Mayweather he was ridiculed for coming back against Lazcano, a decnt opperator with a decent record...Rees loses his title and comes back against a not even journeyman with a 2-36 slate...Gavin Rees is much better than that.

Calzaghe Promos need to really milk this Prizefighter win, get him a big name domestic opponent, get it on in Cardiff and bulid a fanbase.

If I were Joe I'd even consider speaking to Ricky Hatton and ask if they can co-host a promotion in Cardiff. Rees vs Matt Hatton.

That way he'd get TV exposure too.

Rees should be going down two weights from Friday night, not going up one.

Going up is not an option, so your possibly right.

I was thinking about trying to get M Hatton at 140 as an exposure fight then getting to 135 for meaningful fights.

I know its only 3 rounders but beating Cook, Bami and Lynes on one and the same night actually makes his record look 100% better. How ****ing weird is that?:huh

Changed my mind on Rees big time. its funny hes gained more respect for winning prizefighter then winning a world title and going 12 rounds with Kotelnik.

Rees was impressive, I like watching him, he really goes for it. Look forward to watching him if he drops down. Should be interesting.

Enzo won as he didn't make a mistake. If only he cut out the mistake against Haye, Lebadov and Ola.
Rees is a limited wee pug.
Khan beat another nobody. Salita was pish. They're doing a great job of cherrypicking these days, but that can't go on forever.

I expected Mitchell to win, even though I felt he was overrated. Prescott has looked ****ing awful in every fight i've seen him in, apart from the Khan farce. Perhaps Mitchell is better and more versatile than I thought, anyway i'm rooting for Mitchell....he's sound and a exciting fighter.
