Andrade - Jesus, you're right Andrade isn't Ward so being smart enough to realize this you think you'd understand that they have completely different syles. So Bute is going to have the same "problems" he had in the Andrade rematch cuz Ward is the same walk forward, iron chin, termi****inator that Andrade is? Ah, i see. Like i said, insightful.

TKO - lol due to cuts that he aquired from headbutts. 5 that the ref himself admitted to seeing and at least 9 that i counted when re-watching the fight. This pertains to his punching power how?

Hurt him aside from the headbutts? I don't remember Kessler being dropped or seriously hurt by any Ward punches which is funny since Kessler was virtually blind to Ward's punches. Not only didn't Ward hurt him with his power but he couldn't even hurt Kessler with punches that Kessler couldn't see coming.

Ward is the more versatile boxer, but Bute hits harder and has the better chin, I'm not really sure on this one.

Ward and Andrade have different styles, that's true, but also Ward is overall better than Andrade. Ward is a step up in competition. You may or may not agree with me on this point, but that's my opinion, and I think a lot of people would agree with me.

I wished that the ref had warned Ward of the headbutts early on, which would very likely have prevented that cut that eventually hindered Kessler's vision. But in all honesty, Ward probably would have still beaten Kessler on that night. Kessler has not changed since his loss to Calzaghe a few years ago. The recipe to beat Kessler was written on the walls since then, and Kessler never bothered to change that problem, and very stubborn of him to do so. Only a rematch between Kessler and Ward would truly settle this issue of course, but Kessler even admitted after the fight in the interview that he had to add more side to side movement in his game.

As I've mentioned before, Ward is not a knock-out artist, but he does have power, and since he throws a lot and lands a lot, it's the accumulation of punches that will slow and breakdown his opponents.

Bute has a lot of talent, perhaps even more than Ward. You never in know in a couple of years with more experience and training that Bute will dominate the division including Ward.

This is tough fight to call. I like both fighters, skillwise. I think the book is still not complete on either of them. Wardseems to be that guy that wins, but never looks spectacular doing so. He seems to be that guy that always gets bet against but manages to prevail. He is a gifted boxer who knows how to win, but he doesn't have true KO power.
Bute, to me is still somewhat unproven, as I don't put all that much stock in his wins over Andrade, who I view as very limited. As talented as Bute is, he should've beaten Andrade decisively and did. He outboxed him convincingly and got caught late in the 1st fight, and KO'd him in the 2nd. I'd like to see his skills on display against some top notch opposition.
However, my pick would be Bute by a close, controversial decision. 115-113.

If Jack Reiss refs in Oakland, Bute would have to KO Ward's entire family, and smoke that "Jesus is Lord" robe like a doobie, just to get a split decision!

Ward is a disgrace to boxing, a disgrace to his church, and a disgrace to people of color.

Most of the analysis that i gave my opinion on pertains to Wards ability to land punches.

Bute's size, handspeed, punching power, footwork, angles, counter punching, southpaw stance, & good use of range are all attributes that would help negate Ward's ability to land.

Bute's skill set is better suited at offsetting Ward's ability to impliment his stratagy/style than probably anyone else in the entire division.

And i still disagree with your claim that Ward has power. Even the fighters who most don't consider at the top of the division like Steiglitz, Balzsay, Green, Andrade, Miranda, Bika have more power than Ward. He's probably the most feather fisted guy in the top 10.

    It depends.

If in the US, I think Ward wins because he will do whatever it takes to win. We know this already. I mean headbutting repeatedly etc in the fight and working with the convicted doping doctor before the fight!

If the fight happens in Canada and Ward's people doesn;t get their bets in - then Bute may well win.

Bute can ko Ward or win on pts, but I don't think Ward can ko Bute.

Andre, the Son of GOAT, would butted Bute to submission, no question about it.
