JMM for now. Too much experience. But in a couple of years, Khan may win.

I think Khan would be ahead on the cards when Marquez stops him.

Amir Khan wants to defend his WBA LWW title vs. World LW Champion Juan Manuel Marquez, and since Hatton hasn't decided on the Dinamita fight yet, Amir wants to get it done for April. Remember that Khan was a lightweight a year ago, and not really a physical fighter, so there won't be so much physical advantage Hatton would have.

It's a really great fight. Marquez could be the first Mexican to win titles in 4 divisions and would be favored by fans to do so, most would agree that Khan is not ready for one of the best fighters P4P who twice could've got the decision vs. Pacquiao. But for Khan, it's a shortcut for US stardom and he could finally get rid of the Prescott memories. It's a good fight for all sides, and on the undercard mandatory Marcos Maidana could get an interim fight before facing the winner in a bigger fight than it would be without a double-header.

I think I picked Khan here in Philla's thread.

And after his decisive loss to Mayweather at a higher weight, one has to really consider whether he has already maxed out at 135.

And Khan is a boxer who might be as fast as Pacquaio, and is a lot bigger. His punches have sting also.

At this point, it is no longer laughable to take on Khan over Marquez.

Maybe, Philla can revive his own thread also.

As of this moment, 62% expect Juan Manuel Marquez to win, 48% voted for knockout. 24% expects Khan to win by decision and 13% predicts stoppage. 1% (=BOXING/MMAFAN) thought at the time Salita would beat Amir. :)

    Keep the votes coming!

I'm now even less sure about Marquez's condition than I was before. I think the speed and length might undo him. Even though he's career for career three times the fighter I think Khan will ever be.

Khan on points is more likely, but if i was a betting man (which i am) i would put a bet on Khan in rounds 9-11 by KO\TKO

You have to look at Khans massive size advantage in this fight. His in and out style will make Marquez look Slow and Sloppy.

What i always say is that when Roach lets his top fighters in the ring he always knows something we dont that will get them the nod. If Khan takes this fight then i see Roach having the perfect game plan to defeat Marquez.

Agreed. They suddenly think Marquez is shot once Khan wants to fight him. Half of the fools didn't think Khan would get this far anyway :-(
