Does mayof weathers easy whupping of marquez not put doubt in the head paquioa?

I believe so. When you watch a guy who you had problems with twice get completely dominated by another opponent that's gotta do something to your psyche. I don't think it'll affect Pac's performance much because he always fights the same way no matter what, but I bet immediately after the PBF - Marquez fight he was having some self doubts.

On the contrary, I think what Mayweather, Sr said RIGHT after Pacquaio beat the hell out of Cotto gave us something about the thoughts of Team Mayweather in their fight against Pac.

He can not believe that Pacquaio, with what he has been doing lately in the ring, is able to do those things without any medicine help, and that he is afraid that his son might get hurt, even if he knows Mayweather would outclass Pacquaio.

That is very telling, if you ask me.

 

It works both ways, Floyd too has never fought somebody like Pac. And Floyds win over JMM isnt even significant in this fight. Floyd finds himself confused and hurt against the 1 dimensional midget.:hey

good god, the man was probably 12 pounds above his ideal weight and slower than slow. I doubt Pacquiao took too much from that fight.

That's what people don't get:-( Pac at the higher weights is a different animal, now combine that with the fact that the Marquez that PBF fought was a much lesser Marquez than the one Pac fought (not because he was shot or anything, but because he was a fatass that had no business at 147). Like I said, it put doubts in my mind for a while, and Floyd's performance was awesome but lets calm the **** down and get real here. I am so pumped for this fight already.

 

I dont see how anyone can think mayweather will ko pac. he might win but the only sources of information we have are both fighters previous fights and our own deductions made from them. and no one can say say that as a result of that information mayweather will ko pac. they may 'feel' that will happen but its not at all logical. obv sport is unpredictable but then dont use previous examples to prove mayweather will win by ko BECAUSE THAT IS WRONG

 

I think there's been too much pigeon-holing of Mayweather into the "counter-puncher" mould. He's more skilled than Marquez, but doesn't really fight in the same way. Marquez makes you miss or fall short and then fires back; Mayweather tends to go into all-out defensive mode when you pressure him. He may be able to pot-shot Pacquiao on the way in, but without having the kind of deterrent that Marquez had against Pacquiao, I don't see how he'll keep him from continually scoring.
