I find it inexcusable that Vitali could fight so uinspired for 12 rounds against a sitting duck. Sure, in previous fights hes done the same, but they have ended in KO's typically from stoppages by the ref or corner since he just pounds away at his opponents. However, in this fight I dont think he even hurt Johnson. And whats worse, Johnson had just about the most pedestrian non-aggresive offense and yet still, Vitali could not capitalize on this. He looked extremely awkward and unable to get any type of leverage on his punches. I have been a K bro fan for the last few years but this fight in particular, has shown me that while they are the best at this time in the division vs pitiful competition, no way these guys beat the dynamic heavyweights of the past: Bowe, Holyfield, Lewis, Foreman, Holmes, Ali, etc. Dare I even say it, but I think Haye has a real shot against either of these guys now. More then that, I say Chambers beats Vlad.

Johnson's D was pretty good in the fight, man. Give him his props for that at least.

Give the guy a break vitali is 38 years old. He beat a young undefeated guy. While it may not have ended in a KO or been as impressive as his previous victories, he still leaves no questions as to who the best heavyweight in the world is.

Yes I will, but I would understand more if Johnson was also putting out an offense coupled with the D, as to why the fight looked like that. But soley fighting a guy with only D and not having to worry about any kind of O attack, Vitali really should have beat the **** out of him.

It doesn't sound like you understand what you watch when you watch it. Vitali couldn't get leverage on his punches and was awkward against Johnson? He's always awkward! Furthermore, he doesn't throw big punches with all his leverage anymore. He throws arm punches. It was a change in style he made to accommodate his injury troubles. This is normal for him. It was the opponent who was different. Styles make fights, how many times do you have to hear that?

Similar comments were made after the Wlad-Ibragimov fight. I can't understand them at all. Why blame the guy who's winning for a boring fight? Blame the guy who lost! Vitali didn't fail to KO Johnson for the lack of trying. Johnson was moving his head like an out of control speedbag all the way through to the final round. Had Johnson tried to engage with Vitali and hurt him with something the fight would have been different - a fight where both guys are trying to win is rarely dull.

What were you watching man!?, Vitali boxed well against a Kevin Johnson who's defense was very good and who rarely left openings for Vitali, mainly due to the fact that he rarely threw punches and when he did it was quick jab and cover up again!!
Vitali tryed his best to make a fight of it but what could he do if Johnson was only there to survive, not win!!

:patschYou clearly don't know much about boxing. Not having to worry about attack? It's called defense. Those that don't have it get knocked out by that punch they don't think will come...especially in the HW division.

Johnson was smart, he made Vitali come to him instead of just making him stand there counter punching with his long ass arms. He was alittle out of his comfort zone, not for nothing but we were all dying of laughter watchin vitali "bobing and weaving" while Johnson was standing there motionless hahaha he's so unatural........

The fact that Johnson wasn't throwing anything doesn't mean he was easy to hit...
I was surprised by his defense (shoulder roll) and his heart.
The fight wasn't that much exciting i agree...

What are you supposed to do when your opponent is looking to do nothing more than survive?
