Bank on it. If the big mouth gets his wish for a rubber match Lesnar will smash his grill even worse this time. And why was Mir up at 264? What was the point in adding another 20lbs? Big for nothing. He's not a striker and he's definitly overrated by many MMA fans.

    Probably so....

Honestly i wasn't surprised one bit by the outcome of both Mir vs Kongo & Penn vs Sanchez.

Neither was i. I didnt even bother to watch 107 live as i just couldnt get up for it. Everyones getting excited about mediocrity. That may be a strong word but people have to be realistic. One was a product of TUF and theres no TUF'er in the world thats going to beat BJ Penn. And the other was Kongo who's been proven time again to have the intellect of a brick. People talk about Kongo's striking and even that is average at best. When he came to the UFC he had no ground game to speak of. Two dozen or so fights later and he barely even has a decent sprawl. Kongo is a nobody. This is a guy that instead of focusing on his strengths tried to grapple with Cain?!?! If the current version of Heath Herring can beat him he's not going anywhere. If that then becomes a story that Mir can write home about then he's as delusional as he sounds.

    Agreed.

He beat Kongo, he was supposed to.

Kongo is ******ed. In fact the whole of UFC 107 had a stong ****** theme. You had Sanchez, inventor of the 'YES' cartwheel, and Kongo, who likes to shoot double legs against wrerstlers when hes supposed to be a striker. It was like a special ed. class day trip.

Having said that it was actually a pretty good event and I think Penn is the best fighter in the world. He brings new meaning to the phrase 'weel-rounded'; he actually excels at every discipline at 55, theres no other fighter like that.

I thought it was sort of funny how kongo acted out being hit before he was hit.

Not that bankrupt mafia casino owners would fix a fight. No, never.

People who say Mir sucks are right. He's never beat a healthy top ten fighter by more than an accident. Kongo couldn't compete in the IFL, and it doesn't even exist anymore.

Hate me all you want. You can't make a tenable argument until we get these dumbass promoters out of the way and have a playoff.

You seem to have missed him knocking Kongo on his ass with the first punch he threw.

It's not "Mir beat Kongo and is now a top 5 heavy," it's "Mir has been a top 5 heavy and performed like one with a one punch, one submission attempt performance."

What the hell is wrong with you? He hires one of the best strength coaches in the world and former world class strength athlete to fix a weakness in his game, it obviously is helping, and yet you even find some twisted logic to turn it into a criticism.

Yea what good could possibly come out of having one of the best stregnth coaches in the world workig with you? Do you honestly even need to ****ing ask that question? Are you so thick that you can't understand why a HW who will likely have to face a monster who, among other things, clearly used a strength advantage, would want to get stroger? Are you that stupid?

 You just keep getting weaker, still can't even make a simple list of top fighters.

Mir haters, you look just like this idiot.

Putting on the extra size was obviously to help him against guys like Lesnar and Carwin but some people who see through a tunnell can't see outside that narrow vision.

Basically I think Frank didn't prove much in this fight, other than his lose to Lensar didnt take too much out of him.

Nice finish, most knew it was coming. The punch that knocked Kongo down was excellent. As for putting on weight. As long as it doesnt suck away at his cardio it is a good idea to an extent. Better thogh would be drafting in big heavy sparring partners for Lesnar and basically sparring them when he is knackerd (who's to say he wont).

All in all good performence and I liked the finish.

Indeed, but those two can't be as dumb as Kevin Johnson. He takes the cake. Nothing like being dominated and doing nothing for 12 rounds, then after the fight getting in Vitali's face. Then he acted like he was going to do something to Wladimir. ******, you landed 5 power puncehs during the fight, after talking about destroying Vitali. :-(

Stop talking ****. He was fighting Kongo. If he was going to pile on 20lbs and require the help of a strength and conditioning coach then pray tell why didnt he do it vs Lesnar in their first two bouts? Geez your a real bolt of lightening. Maybe you should apply to be in Mir's camp. Im sure he could use your outstanding advice.
