I saw this guy fight on his debut. Out of the current crop of amateurs to turn pro under frank, this guy is far and away the most talented. He fights like a pro already setting his feet, slipping shots, throwing to the body and the guy can fight on the inside. Out of all the current newcomers he also has the most fan friendly style. What he lacks at the moment is proper fight conditioning and an elite level coach.

Also why is he fighting at SMW? He looks no bigger than a WW.

Of the 3, he's carrying the least amount of 'x-factor' at the moment.

All the talk is of the other two.

He seems to lack the discipline to keep his weight down and it will hinder his progress.

Let's not forget Jeffries, he looks awful. Luckily for him he seems to have a good following in Sunderland.

    Yeah good point.

I'll have more patience with the 'non-warren' amateurs though as I dont have to pay £15 to watch their every fight :bart

At least Warren's amateurs had a bit of a fight unlike Jeffries, who knocked out an overmatched Latvian bum in seconds.

I think Degale and Frankie are progressing well, learning all of the time.

Jeffries and Price will have learnt nothing this w/e so they were pointless fights.

    Matchmaking is an art.

Frankie Gavin for me. At least Frank Warren seems to be stepping them up a level. Maloneys 2 on friday must be gutted with the level of opponents.

when it was announced FW had signed the three, bj saunders was regarded by many on here (including myself) as being the one with the most potential and closest to adapting to the pro game.

however, it has now become apparent that he frankie gavin is the best of the trio hands down.

billyjoe could still do the business if he sorts out his conditioning but my gut feeling is it won't happen
