Bute is too technical for Pascal. Pascal leaves himself wide open when throwing punches and won't look good against a quick southpaw. As mention above by SP_Immortal, Pascal lost on points to Froch. Even though he is a lot better than he was before, the fact remains, that he couldn't win against a slow sugger so it's impossible for him to win against someone as quick and technical like Bute. I see this fight going to the distance because Jean has the heart of a lion and won't go down. But seeing him beat Bute is impossible.

We have to remember that Diaconu was taylormade for Pascal, as they're both good brawlers and are good to the inside. But Pascal is quicker than Diaconu, has a better footwork and is more intelligent in the ring. Bute will control him with his jab and won't let him come too close knowing that Pascal is better than him in the inside. Bute's height, intelligence and technical advantages are all too much for Pascal

    Bute by wide UD 118-110

Pascal is a terrible fighter and so is Diaconnu.

Bute would make him pay badly for his mistakes.

Good match up. Id have to go with Bute by close but clear decision. Pascal was outscored by Froch who doesnt box and move as well as Bute, though I think Pascal can hurt Bute and it wasnt that long ago Bute was saved by the bell against Andrade.

I like Bute, but the guy was gone and the punches that landed on him were the cause. Hes been into the late rounds before and didnt look like that.

But, Pascal has more offensive skills, a lot stronger and tough like hell. He did improve a lot since Froch, footwork, defence, intelligence, maturity, STAMINA. Really close fight if you ask me.

I agree with you except I think Bute has an advantage offensively. Pascal is just looking good because he faced the same slugger two times after the Froch fight and a guy as old as his father in Silvio Branco(43 years of age)

P.S I really like Jean Pascal and think he deserves a lot more credit than what he gets. He's an excellent brawler with THE HEART of a CHAMPION and I really think its unfair he gets only 8000 people in the crowd comparing to Bute who gets 16000. I like both but really see Bute winning this and easily. The only thing that can cause some trouble to Bute is the fact that Pascal can ram threw him, going straight forward and start brawling with him, in this case I see Pascal as the winner and by KO. Otherwise, I don't see him beating Bute on points

im not sold on bute yet, his defense is mediocre as andrade a crude slugger, gave him hell and knocked him out the first time they fought. im not sold on his chances against another boxer since a crude puncher gave him hell. as of right now ive got pascal by UD
