chavez was a tough mexican legend and what he did vs taylor cannot be just tossed away...he hurt him the last 7 rds causing that debacle at the end...HOWEVER he does not beat pbf, srr, pea type fighters...u can see taylor could have won easy too if he fought like pea and pbf but he chose to slug and did it well but his pride got the best of him....chavez is an atg but a very beatable one

you can't say that.....ever wonder why pea wanted no part of chavez at 135...maybe cause a really poor mans version of chavez (but in southpaw) gave pea all he could handle, and beat him in a close fight.....i wont say his name cause many who havn't seen the fight will yell and say that pea was also robbed in that fight.....even though that **** took place in france.

I am not tossing away what he against Taylor at all. I more than acknowledged that Chavez landed the harder punches.

Did he hurt Taylor over the final seven rounds? Yes, but it is not as if Taylor ceased landing on Chavez from Round 5 on. Two of the judges had Taylor ahead by a comfortable margin prior to the KO.

 

big difference......chavez had a fan pleasing style and would've died in the ring for you, me and many of his fans....fighters like that don't carry the weight good, especially against slicksters like pernell.....
