Tony gets knocked out in earlier imo-if a rematch happened...getting knocked out the way he did takes a toll on a fighter...his corner let him go out for that 9th round and it was the last thing they should have done.

Margarito, like Librado Andrade, human punching bags, the both of them, were both at the end of their usefulness when they got stopped in their last/most recent fights. Two words; collective damage. And yes, I was saying it BEFORE when. Repeatedly. In both cases. Anybody who has seen more than a few Margarito fights should have been able to pick up on the signs in the Cintron rematch and the Cotto fight. Margarito was cooked when he got in with Shane Mosley. That's to go along with everything else Shane did to him, and whatever excuses Team Margarito had.

Collective damage isn't physical though, it's psychological.

Mentally you get tired of taking flush punches and it just seems to hurt more everytime. You start to shy away from punches you'd normally just take headlong. Hence, the punch gets them when they aren't prepared for it more often.

I saw the same thing happen with Samuel Peter. He took Wladimir's punches with ease as he walked headlong into them. Then he looked like absolute garbage against Vitali and McCline. It wasn't that the latter were better than the former. It was that Samuel's psyche was broken from the Wladimir fight.

I can't support the guy. Even if he was 50lbs overweight going into training camp that is his own fault. Cheating is no way to get ahead.

The funny thing is, and I think I'm the only one that will say this, is Mosley looking like ****. He wasn't nearly as crisp or clean a puncher as he used to be. He was sloppy and really telegraphin his shots, pulling his punches so to speak. Looked like garbage and the win was pretty ugly but I guess nobody else saw that.

Oh no, but according to you he's black so he can do no wrong. You're ****ing ridiculous. Show a little less bias sometime if you're even capable of it.

shane held all night!! Shane had a great victory, but facts are facts!! Another thing, margarito didnt look like himself from the first round! I think the year off did tony some good, I really think he gives shane a decent fight in a re-match!! Tony was 50 pounds over weight in his camp for shane, he had alot of things on his mind prior to the fight, people need to remember that boxing is 90% mental!!!

It felt great been amongst the crowd with a bunch of drunk/shocked Margarito fans. I expected a dominant Margarito win. But all hail the great Shane Mosley for pulling it off. 10 years prior he captured the Welterweight belt of De La Hoya. To do it again a decade later against a tough fighter like Margarito was amazing stuff. Hats of to Mosley. :happy
