Its just fashionable to say andy lees overrated and a hype job when the truth is nobody outside ireland or the kronk gym fancies andys chances against any top 10 middle weight at the moment.......

His Stamina is quite suspect at the moment, and we haven't seen him banging like he used to :think

I wouldn't bet on this if these 2 met in the next year. Very unpredictable for me. Both fighters have skill. Lee has certainly not been hyped since his loss to Vera, in fact a lot of people have written him off. Barker looks good and has a nice style about him. He has not been tested yet but that doesn't mean there are any limitations to him. We know that Lee struggles on the inside and he has not looked the same since the Gibbs fight.
However Lee was really unlucky with rustiness due to the operation he took time out for on his eye. At the same time he is only 25, and I always think it's the sign of a good boxer who is supposedly not performing yet keeps winning and putting his opponents down (apart from Belgecham) on the canvas! Barker is a little older but on fine form. I don't think this fight will happen though unless one of them has a belt. I'd say McEwan might go after Barker though given he has the British belt and McEwan is eligible.
Lee V Macklin is much more likely to happen in 2010 than Lee V Barker.

i was there when McIntosh put Barker down-It seemed Barker lost concentration it was early in his career and he was a bit green-he was way down on the undercard as well it was at Goresbrook leisure centre

Or you see something most don't.

A poll on here only gathers the general concenses.

It's a fight I would like to see but I think Barker would win.

Whatever happens I don't think it would be an easy win for Lee as you posted earlier!

Interesting fight, think Barker takes this one in a distance fight. I think there's real potential for big things from Darren and a showdown with Matthew Macklin would be a great domestic showdown.
