Kessler compares to those fighters more than alright. He is better than Pavlik and Barkley.

Head-to-Head in their primes is tricky, because Jones and Calzaghe were in their prime at smw, Hopkins was in his prime at mw, and you could argue either way whether Toney was in his prime at mw or smw. Personally, I think it was at mw.

    Anyway, head to head:

    1.Jones

    2.Hopkins
    3.Toney

    4.Calzaghe

(it's so so so close between Hopkins and Toney for 2nd and 3rd. I can actually see the Toney of the first McCallum fight taking a narrow decision over the Hopkins of the Trinidad fight, but that fight really is too close to call, and I think Hopkins does better against a wider range of fighters than JT does, so I think he is the better fighter all-round by a whisker. Jones a clear first and Calzaghe a clear fourth)

All-time (I can't say only based on resume, as there are other factors to take into account, but resume is the main one, though I don't think there is much between Jones, Hopkins and Toney in terms of resume, you argue any 1-3 there to be honest, but there is a clear 1-3 in terms of greatness, which is):

    1.Jones
    2.Hopkins
    3.Toney

    4.Calzaghe

Sorry Joe, but I just don't think the Welshman is on the same level as the other guys in terms of resume or overall greatness.
