You know how it is man, BJ has a cult like following. Plus alot of people are still a little bitter about that loss because of the vaseline contraversy. However, I agree, while BJ can prabably beat beat a few welterweights, GSP is all wrong for him. BJ is on another roll right, just as he was leading into the GSP rematch. Makes no sense for GSP to smash BJ out again when he's got bigger & better things to do right now.
I disagree. If Penn comes in peak physical and mental conditions, and with the right tactics, the fight would look nothing like the last one. Penn may not win in the end, but the fight would be a damn sight closer and more competitive this time. No way would Penn allow himself to be mauled like that again.
I don't know man. I think that the reason he lookes so gassed in the fight against GSP is because he had to fight off an incredibly strong and talented fighter like GSP. It's like instead of shadow boxing with 2lb dumbells like he did against Florian and Diego, he had to shadow box with 5lb dumbells. It takes it's toll quick. It took ALL of his energy to fight off GSP's takedowns and keep him from advancing on the ground, when with other fighters he can fight them off easier.
let GSP come down to 155 and it will another story:good He ain't gonna be as strong and might be weight drained
:rofl:rofl:rofl GSP vs BJ III At Lightweight!!!!! This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Georges would own him again. I have no interest in seeing this fight yet. Perhaps if Penn moves up to 170 and beats Fitch and/or Alves, then maybe.
BJ is just too small to deal with him. GSP's size, strength, and athleticism is overwhelming for any Welterweight, much less Lightweight. When you combine that with the fact that he has awesome skills and knows how to utilize all of his physical attributes perfectly there's no way a natural Lightweight is ever beating him. Or hell, a Welterweight for that matter.
:good LMAO. Yeah and I think Machida should fight BJ at 155 also, as I fancy Penn to defeat Lyoto at Lightweight
:good I agree!! Had he not been in such good shape, he would not have lasted until the end of the forth.
