Just need a few answers to some questions

    1) Should i keep doing road work for the last couple days or shuld i just rest?

    2) Whats good to eat on the day of the fight? The weigh ins at 7pm so i need something that can give energy but not add any weight.

Any other advice is good, i feel confident now but at the time i know im gunna be so nervous

    1) Rest. You'll need it...

    2) I eat cereal, but thats because we have to be at the fight and weigh-in early in the morning...

You'll be nervous, but you will also have fun.

    1) I would make sure you get rest, but I still had light daily workouts leading up to fights.

    2) It all depends on whether you have to worry about your weight or not.

Stay calm in the ring and dont punch yourself out the fight. Nervous energy can be a killer. Speaking from experience.

This is what im most worried about, in sparring when im forced into exchanges i just throw punches instead of boxing smart, it gets me tired so i'll remember this advice :D

Aint that the truth!!! Try and control the pace using your jab and lateral movement(not to full on just relaxed). Mix it up and throw a feint Jab, Right cross! Keep it simple, controlled and tidy and you'll be fine!! Hands up!! :thumbsup

But what is your "technic" to stay clam just before a fight.

I fought 2 fights now and lost both.
In training I can mix it up, throw combo's and just fight my game.
When i enter the ring for a matchfight, i think the nerves get the best of me.
    any tips?

my next fight(s) is(are) in november

I lost mate, got drawn into a brawl. I landed big shots and counter punches and he took them really well. I didn't stick to the game plan and paid for it!

    How'd you go?

I lost mine by a mixed decision, i was nervous so i couldn't apply what my trainer was telling me and that was to put the guy on his back foot, so like you i didn't stick to the gameplan and payed for it :patsch .

But i got the rematch next month so hopefully i wont be a nervous, i know i have the ability to beat the guy just couldn't use it.
