No, beating fellow heavyweight greats proves he is 'the greatest' - remind me, how many heavyweight greats did Tyson beat who were in their prime? TBH I believe it is Tyson who is looked at through 'rose tinted glasses'.

So exactly who did Ali beat in his prime, taking away the wee 13 stone men, that includes Patterson, the geat white hopes(less), Foreman over-rated, Norton over-rated. A prime Lewis would have burst Ali as well, although we will never know, but everybody knows I'm right:D

I think we have late candidate for the worst post of the year...:patsch

Very mature. My 4 year old nephew uses a similar statement when he's playing up as well.

That everyone knows he's right, when there are quite obviously people that are telling him they think he's wrong?

Tyson is overrated imo, and there are blueprints on how to beat the guy, but RJJ ain't got them. Not many worse match ups for him.

What young Tyson did he did well, and only a handful of fighters in history have the attributes and size to deal with him. Could see RJJ stick and moving for a while before Tyson catches up with him and smashes him to pieces in 3.

Cause I aint suckin Alis balls and saying he is the greatest I am the worst poster of the year, away and dont talk pish mate. ****in Lemming. I think Ali was over-rated, and he DID fight a lot of guys past their best, and smaller guys who would be cruiserweight now. Go back and watch some of his GREAT fights against all time GREATS, ****in embarassing some of them. Next you will be telling me Marciano was a technically great fighter:lol::lol: There was a smillie face next to my post mate, tongue in cheek as it were, so wind your neck in

Top 20 ATG Heavyweights he fought (IMO):

    George Foreman
    Joe Frazier x3
    Sonny Liston x2
    Ken Norton x3
    Floyd Patterson x2
    Larry Holmes

    World ranked contenders he fought:

    Earnie Shavers
    Jimmy Young
    Henry Cooper x2
    Joe Bugner x2
    Ron Lyle
    George Chuvalo x2
    Jerry Quarry x2
    Zora Folley
    Cleveland Williams
    Oscar Bonavena
    Brian London
    Ernie Terrell
    Bob Foster
    Trevor Berbick

    Good contenders he fought:

    Doug Jones
    Chuck Wepner
    Buster Mathis
    Mac Foster
    Sonny Banks
Archie Moore (even a very old Moore was a good name on his record, considering when he fought him)
    Richard Dunn
    Leon Spinks

Find me a heavyweight with a better record :thumbsup

It's fun to debate these things but ultimately, Roy would have no chance. None whatsoever. Not even a 'punchers chance'. It would be an impossibility.

Hi Roy. Get some rest, your still hurting from the knockout loss to a B- Cruiserweight. You'll have a clearer head in the morning.

This is turning too much about Ali's record, heres a little video that kind of backs up what i said. Tyson would have had to land a KO punch to beat jones IMO, would he have been able to land that punch on a prime RJJ??? Watch the video and you'll see, fair enough none of these are anything near Tyson, but he takes some huge punches that he would never have taken once he came down from hw.
