I think i might be the only person who doesnt think Khan has that much of a glass chin. What happened against Limond proves nothing, if you leave yourself open and get caught against a professional boxer then you can be hurt no matter how hard he hits.

Earl would KO Thaxton, Thaxton's not hard to hit and only keeps one hand up doing a poor mans version of the Ingle style.

Earl has shown he can do well on a higher level too.

That would be a fair point, apart from the fact that it's not the first time it's happened. He's been down twice as a pro, (although the first one was a flash knockdown) and in his last amateur bout he was floored and hurt.
Even the most optimistic of fans would be kidding themselves if they thought Khan's chin wasn't a problem.

I'm not saying it has any relation to a fight with Khan but Max did you see Thaxton's fight with Meager ?

According to the press in Bolton Warren is quoted as saying they have been talking to a couple of opponents for Khan and will announce who they are on Thursday. Says they are talking to somebody who he thinks is a better fighter than Thaxton and will see where it leads .....

Other reports elsewhere quote Earl, who was ringside at Khan v Lawton. Earl acknowledges Khans talent but says although he looked good against Lawton he would be putting him under a lot more pressure when they fight - says he still makes mistakes that give you openings and when he does connect we will see how good Khan's chin is. Earl says he has been waiting to fight Khan for some time and has been watching everything he does.

Nah, had no Sky back then to watch the Meager one. Watched the Stewart one though.

Meager's a typical McCracken trained fighter so It's probably not hard to outbox him.

thaxton was superb against meager, but just hasn't looked the same man in his last two fights. maybe he rises to the occasion? i'm sure he'd be well up for it if the match was made with khan and his performance would be much better than these two fights.

If he beats both Earl and Thaxton, I'll be impressed.

I don't even think Khan's harshest critics on this forum could say much if he won impressively in those two fights.

come off it....IF he beats Earl and Thaxton...ppl will say what about Murray and Mitchell, there the real class in Britain. Then will then go on about Romanov (who I think Khan should avoid for at least a year) etc...and so on....

Some ppl dont like the guy....and wont be happy til he is off the scene.:deal

Why Mitrchell, who is a super feather when Khan is a massive lightweight?

He'll fight Mcallister next, thats my tip.

If Khan beats Earl then Thaxton, few could begrudge him some congratulatory warmth.

He will have cleaned up the British scene at 21, with nobody missed. Whether its provided the improvement and seasoning I'd hoped it might, will be less clear.

Earl and Thaxton are historically, both gutsy, strong at the weight and can punch.

From there, the work gets harder.
