pavlik will beat williams

    im calling it right now, neither pavlik nor williams is my favorite fighter, however i feel like pavlik is simply going to hit too hard for williams. First of all neither guy has been overly impressive with there last 2 respective fights, i honestly felt like williams lost by a point too a very talentes but much smaller martinez, whom i think we can all agree doesnt hit nearly as hard as pavlik or throw nearly as many punches, williams is a much slicker and far more awkward fighter to fight in terms of style,however, williams likes action fights has a great deal of bravado in terms of his willingness to exchange, that combined with a poor defense doesnt spell for a good night against pavlik. this might be the first time williams is in the ring with someone his size whom he doesnt have every single physical advantage over which imo hes made a living off of that. Pavlik is not a technician by any means and he does take a lot of shots, but williams does not have the pop to stop pavlik but pavlik does have the power to stop williams, that will be the difference in this fight pavlik by 10th round tko in all action fight of the year candidate.

    Who at middlweight beside Williams and Pavlik that can beat Martinez right now? Martinez show just how a great fighter he was when he fought Williams. And unlike Pavlik, Williams choose a 1,000 times better fighter in Martinez then Pavlik did by choosing freaking Espino. Imagine Martinez vs Espino? lol my goodness. Now about Williams vs Pavlik? I still say Williams will win cause he will be faster and will throw more punches from every different angles. And Williams will see Pavlik punches better then he did with a slicker Martinez. Hell i bet 500.00 that Martinez slick style would easily and i mean easily beat a zomble slow 1 dimensional Pavlik. Yes Pavlik have power but power only won't help it.

    You don't choose your mandatories, that's why they are called mandatories.

    Pavlik will knock him out now that Williams can no longer weight cut his way into picking on smaller opponents. Straight punches and power will beat volume windmill slaps.

    Williams is not going to fight Pavlik. Goosen is officially back to his 50/50 in a co-promotion position. In other words, Team Williams is back to their 2008 position which was to save PW by pricing him out of a fight.

    I think Williams definitely stands a chance against Pavlik. While he does have the reach advantage, which could give Pavlik problems; Pavlik is just too damn good and too damn comfortable at mid to long range. Pavlik's definitely weakest inside, but his uppercuts are obviously dangerous close-range weapons. I think that if Williams can stay inside and avoid Pavlik's uppercuts, he definitely has the inside game to walk away with a decision.

    Williams doesn't stand any chance of hurting him, but he can at least force Pavlik out of his element and look real good by making Pavlik look bad.

    But, a couple solid punches from Pavlik at any range is enough to end any night early.

    Kelly did some nice body work inside in his sparring session in his open workout and in Saturday's fight. What makes you think he won't use that against PW on the inside. Kelly is bigger and stronger. I don't see why Pdub would want to get inside.

    hell i agree with you martinez is great, much better than espino, but martinez wasnt justy connecting on williams because of his crafty slick style, martinez was landing on williams because williams is open to be hit by everyone, quintana did it margarito did it, and pavlik isnt as fast or slick as martinez but he is much bigger throws a lot more punches and is signifigantly more powerful, williams will be stopped, he doesnt hit hard enough to do enough damage to keep pavlik from throwing his ussual 80 90 a round, and if martinez could hurt williams a couple of times pavliks power could destroy williams, once again williams has 2 signifigant advantages over opponents his size and his volume he will have neither against pavlik, sorry i honestly dont think williams has a chance i cant wait to see the odds on this one so i can make some money

    i'm leaning towards pavlik simply b/c PW took to many unneccesary punches against SM. if he tries that against KP, he's done in 7 rds.

    wow if he wants 50 50 thats absurd not only is williams not a champ at middle and has never been a undisputed champ ever, he couldnt even get half the seats at mandalay filled for his fight with wirght here in vegas unbelievable i hope thats not true

    or less...and im a fan of both these guys.

    simply put, from an impartial view, paul williams needs to work on fine tuning his defense first and foremost in preparations for kelly pavlik, otherwise, he'll be getting folded in quicker fashion than jermain taylor

    Sergio Martinez is a bad dude...i said this before the Williams fight...anyone who knows anything about boxing knew that Williams was in for a long night.

    PW was very fortunate to get a decision.
