It's because there's no creativity in the match making.

It would be funny if Sky refused to put him on..... in the USA they will be in the hands of the US broadcasters - he was only televised on the Urango, Castillo and Malignaggi bills because the undercards were gash.

He is just a proper annoying, ungracious knob :yep

There's been some rank fights in the last 4-6 weeks.

I think that the recent Haskins/Broadhurst fiasco takes some beating in the **** stakes

Well Haskins vs Broadhurst was between the top 2 in the division, so that was a decent match-up on paper, as was Sosnowski vs Vidoz - shame both turned out to be pretty bad (especially Haskins vs Broadhurst).

Are you being serious here mate?

If Matthew Hatton wasn't regarded as such an anus on this board people would've been slating this post as its absolute nonsense.

You've probably picked the only fighter currently active that you could get away with writing such garbage about so i'll applaud you on that at least.

That's true but I meant more with the undercards really. Too many Latvian bums being bowled over by "prospects". I'm sick of promoters being allowed to milk average talent for as long as possible before stepping it up and them turning out to be **** as we suspected.

If a fighter's that good he will show early and won't need to knock over 15 bums before he's ready to step up in class.

I don't understand the post enough to be able to slate it.

Is it all the promoter's fault..... or is it the trainer - or even the fighter?

I'd guess every case is different. If you consider someone like Tony Jeffries, it is clear that he is being milked.... I'm thinking of examples of the other scenarios.

From a promoter's point of view, it takes just as much time to look after a bad boxer (perhaps more) than it does a good one - so you may as well find out which ones are which as soon as is reasonably possible!

    :deal

I was out that night and watched the tape (which I also keep for my collection :-() the morning afterwards having already heard that it was awful. Haskins is in so many fights like that that I'm sure sooner or later Sky are simply going to refuse to show him.

At least Napa stopped him! :D

Totally agree, probably was the worst fight I had seen since the first Danny Williams Audley Harrison fight.

The good ones look after themselves, as Dan-B says he is sick of these latvian paperboys being fed to 'prospects', the worse case of this was fat twat Hennessey who matched this god awful labourer who's only attribute was he has a good level of fitness, he matched him against Bradley 'the buzzsaw' Evans. No1 Evans is **** and No2 it ended in a draw :rofl. It was like this Latvian lad had never fought and Hennessey said if you win this we can pay the pimps to release your mom from being a sex slave in swindon. This lad threw more missing punches than Calzaghe and the 'prospect' didnt know what the **** to do. Its fights like that, that make your Matthew Hatton's look good. As bad as FFN's have been recently, Hennessey has topped them for being ****.
