It appears Martinez is going to give him a title shot next year and they have been talking a bit of trash to each other. How do you see this fight going?

Martinez would destroy Vanes right now, Martirosyan should shut the **** up for now and wait for his time to come.

Martirosyan needs a couple more fights. Looked good Saturday night, but i don't think he is ready for Sergio.

Well Chavez Jr is in line for Sergios WBC title. Which fighter do you want Sergio to pummel first?

Martinez has too much expirience for Vanes right now.

Oh ****...I remember Martirosyan from the olympics in 2004, I believe. I liked that guy, but I haven't seen any of his pro fights...I'd have to give it to Martinez.

He's developing nicely as a pro, but I have to agree with everyone else that the jump up in class to Martinez would be too much right now. Which isn't necessarily a knock on him, the dude's still only 23. He should fight at least a couple top 15 guys first though.

it's too early to consider that fight, Vanes needs to gain a lot more epxerience until he can challange Martinez.

I am very impressed by Martirosyan. I don't think he's as far away from title contention as some say. Of course he's still a bit green and needs a few more fights against quality opponents, but I think within a year's time, he might be ready for guys like Martinez.

Martinez could ruin this kid. Hopefully Martirosyan's people aren't stupid enough to let it happen.

Accordng to Rafael, Martirosyan will be fighting Ouma in February on the debut of the new Top Rank show on Fox Sports. The story is that Top Rank wanted to put Vanes in with a southpaw. The reasons for that ought to be obvious. At this point Ouma isn't much of a threat.

After that they should be looking at Grady Brewer or Ishe Smith. Slick guys who will make Vanes work his ass off for his win.
