My top 3 this month are: 1-Malignaggi 2-Bradley 3-Williams :good Martinez should now be 1 @ 154, Juanma's moved up, Hasegawa will never fight at Bantam again and I also think Bradley should now be ESB Champ as well. Hatton should be moved down due to inactivity as well, IMHO. Well done, Rob:good.
Fighter of the month 1. Pascal - continues to improve and fought through a serious injury 2. Magic Man - Great win but he'd already done it once and it was clear to see he was better than Juan first time around 3. Tim Bradley - Looking good again
How about this then: 140: ESB Champ: Timothy Bradley 1. Paulie Malignaggi 2. Juan Urango 3. Amir Khan 4. Ricky Hatton 5. Kendall Holt 6. Devon Alexander 7. Marcos Maidana 8. Andriy Kotelnik 9. Lamont Peterson 10. Juan Diaz :think
Hatton beat the best fighter he could have at the time (Paulie) at the weight, then lost to the p4p #1 - whereas Khan has beat a top 10 guy and a top 100 guy at the weight - that's it.
A valid point, Kos, but I think he should be dropped due to inactivity. Rafa, Izzy and B-Hop all suffered as a result of this and, due to Mosley's inactivity, I think we should maybe put Pac above him as you have suggested as well:good. Over 6 months between fights just keeps the rankings out of context and isn't fair on other fighters making leaps foward either.
It's just in Rob's rankings, Khan has jumped 3 places for beating Salita - sure the manner of victory was great, but it was a very average opponent for Khan (we knew he wasn't going to win).
Hatton has fought once in the last 12 months where he was knocked out cold in the second round after having been spanked around the ring twice in the first. I'm not saying he should go below Khan (although he is for me) I'm just saying if Khan is too high then so is Ricky. Plus if they do fight hatton's getting ko'd in 6 All this about P4P No.1 was great when it was a bigger guy but in reality he was stepping up to 'Ricky's Division' and had no chance at out-muscling him and was gonna be pushed around the ring :good
Any other thoughts on this revised list?:good Also, how the **** is Foreman above Spinks and Phillips @ 154? Johnson should be in Cloud's place @ 175 as well, IMO.
