    i appreciate the posts fellas....

and i can't emphasize enough that i'm not comparing what manny has done to what rjj has done.

what i'm doing is using the truly historical accomplishment of manny to remind everyone of something that roy has done that NEVER gets mentioned on here.

i'm not comparing manny's seven belts and ko's on his way up to 147 with this.

i finally found the video of rjj from the '86 golden gloves and wanted to highlight it is all.

    :good

again, rico, i am not saying they are the same and i am not comparing them.

also, glass jawed fighters don't get into the ring w/ a hw that outweighs them by 30lbs

you mean that same Heavyweight that has ONE proper KO this entire DECADE? One. That fight was a glorified sparring session and was a circus.

Fighting Bernard Hopkins and an undefeated James Toney is about as far away from hand picking opponents as one can get. RJJ deserves respect. Fans and fighters give it to him - so who cares what these keyboard warriors think?

    Thanks for the link!

and was his opponent a glass jawed blown up lhw that weighed in at under 200lbs??

by your analysis of roy's jaw, even a feather fisted ruiz should have iced him the second any bit of leather he had touched roy's face.

Wow glass jaw of course there is a bigger chance of getting knocked in higher weights come on people. both are great but roy could have been greater if he had wanted 2

i was also hoping to give everyone else a brief respite from all the pac/pbf threads on the board. ****in' mods are having a hard time merging them all. pretty crazy.

No glass jawed fighter can move up the weight that Roy did, a glass jawed 139 pound golden gloves champ doesn't win a heavyweight belt, I don't care if the heavyweight had no ko's in his whole career. Let alone flooring Holyfield who is known for his iron jaw.

    Overall, a great point.

Pacquiao is not a freaking natural light flyweight.
