Miguel Cotto VS Kermit Cintron

I picked Cintron by KO

I'm a big fan of Miguel Cotto, but I don't know...I just have a picture of Hearns-Duran in my head and I think Cintron would find the mark early with a huge right hand and finish him off.

Cotto would have to weather the early storm, go to the body, and break him down.

 

Cotto is so much more the better skillfull fighter. He will systematically break Cintron down and win by KO.

 

why did he take a guy that paul williams already punished?

atleast cotto's got guts going up against the legendary sugar man, cintron agreed to fight mosley and then backed out,
mosley had to go after collazo.

but i dont blame him, mosley hits harder than margarito.

 

cintron couldn't take margaritos punches, cotto will make him beg for mercy like that.....

Cotto is an excellent tactician - he knows exactly how to break guys down.

from what i know, mosley was ready to fight cintron, and then cintron backs out, collazo takes over.

paul williams ruined mattysse.

 

This is the closest fight ive had to pick in say probably 3 months now.

This fight could go either way. Both have ok chins. Both have good power with Cintron being a bit more of a KO puncher. but Cotto can break fighters down with his tactics and body punching.

Then Kermit is faster with a better reach and jab also.

Im leaning toward Cintron but Cotto could win also.

He is a tactician in the regard that he uses his jab to get inside and knows exactly where to place shots. He takes his time and is also quite versatile and can beat you in a variety of ways. He is a good counter puncher as well. A relentless brawler is somebody like Lamon Brewster. Cotto is an excellent tactician who knows exactly how to break his opponents down.

 

Having said that he stumbles alot on the way to breaking his opponents down. Takes to many punches for me and relies on his inside work.

If Cintron kept Cotto to the outside Kermit would school and hurt Cotto i feel.

Its just weather Cintron can keep him to the outside. Cotto makes more mistake than Cintron during his fights also i feel.

the way he tore into judah was terrific.
