McCloskey has much more power than Kotelnik, I'll agree that a lot of time he does flick with his punches but when he genuinely loads up and tries to put something into shots he can bang.

He has the power to hurt Khan !

Ajose has not been made the mandatory contender at least not yet but the WBC was petitioned after the Romania fiasco and they agreed that he can fight Alexander as a voluntary defence. Barry Hearns matchroom made an offer to Don King but he is not having it. He does not know Ajose I believe but hears that he is unbeaten, fast, southpaw, African and beaten everything put before him in the UK etc. Remember he promoted Azumah Nelson and I think handles Agbeko. We may have to fight a rescheduled eliminator.

paul mc closkey is a class act and the best fighter to come out of ireland for a very long time,i think it would be a very good fight if it were made.

I would love to see it but it will never happen. Khan will be in usa tryin to build his reputation- malignaggi in march? Paul needs to get some good defences of his euro title and see what happens. Maybe fight Olusegan aftr he beats Lauri- depending how Olusegans situation pans out. Two unbeaten fighters, neither of them a spring chicken although both arent burnt out. Whos wins? My money says paul by late ko.

Agreed. Mccloskey is a real threat to kahn and anyone who thinks kahn would wn easily is a fool. Mccloskey will not be gotten rid of early. He has a great chin and awkward style and defence. He will cause Kahn some real problems. Gaurenteed!!!!!

Both Kahn and Mccloskey are very good intelligent fighters and I would love to see this fight happen but it wont yet. Still nice to think.

Is mccloskey definitely fighting lauri next?

to be fair paul was boxing in the orthodox position which he doesnt prefer, amir would have a slight speed advantage although the power would be slightly with paul imo.good fight though.
