    Either Booth or Munroe.

Both have attributes that would/could trouble the champions at bantam and super bantam.

Napa is a nice boxer but can't punch at all, and Haskins, whilst a bit awkward, doesn't offer anything that a top class domestic fighter couldn't deal with.

Perhaps a reason why our small guys seldom win world titles is because British boxing is so insular - with the low number of decent fighters they end up fighting each other over and over...... it isn't as if any of them travel to places like Mexico and Asia for fights and sparring.

They kinda get to Euro level and hit a block..... before stagnating and losing to an inferior fighter or moving up in weight and getting beaten up.

Booth for me, but I still don't think he can beat the best in the division and he is already at his full potential IMO, however I feel Munroe could still improve quite a bit (I think he is 29 or something, but he is a young 29) and has good height and workrate that could cause problems for certain opponents - just needs to improve on other areas.

There are just a hell of a lot of good Latin American, South American and Oriental fighters at the lower weights. The lack of domestic competition doesn't help but I think it just a numbers game as much as anything else. There are just a lot more flys and bantams in the areas mentioned above than there are in Europe these days.

Put it this way, if I was a 2-0 prospect at Bantam I'd try and ply my trade in Japan, if only for a few years for experience.

    Yeah I guess so.

Even if we produce one very very good one, he will most likely meet his match at some stage on the way up and become lost in the system.

It's a bit different to welters and middles, they seem to roll off a conveyor and many of them end up going a long way.

The reverse is obviously true for those nations, you don't see many good Mexicans above welter.

About a year ago I went to see an exhibition of local boxing memorabilia from the 1920/ 30s/40s and the thing that struck me straight away looking at the posters was the number of Flyweight contests on the undercards, I'd say that division made up more fights than any other in the 20s/30s.

You just don't see it anymore now Brits are getting bigger and getting better nutrition as the grow up.

I wonder what the average height of people was back then..... I'm sure I read somewhere that people were generally smaller, it was rare to see people over six feet tall..... and also what height those fighters generally were.

Munroe doesnt get much credit for what has been a great 18 months, and to say he's shite is harsh.

For me Haskins would fall well short, Napa cant do it at european level so altho i rate him he to falls well short, Booth may just be the surprise packet of these guys but its early days for him at SBW, So the obvious choice is Munroe yet he struggled in his last fight which i think was complacency and like him or not he is a big SBW and if we get behind Munroe we may just have another british world champion,,,

    Munroe for the title 2010
