Now that the Mayweather camp altered their stance on the blood testing situation, it is very apparent that they will do what is possible to keep the fight on. Lets see if Pacquiao will do the same because obviously Floyd still wants to fight.

Golden Boy has said they are willing to drop USADA from being the drug tester as long as the tests are random, and both blood and urine. This is a moderate bend, as USADA was considered the best choice for this type of testing available.

Mayweather has agreed to let Neveda do the blood testing. It don't have to be USADA.

But this is where it gets ****ed up again.

Bob Arum is quoted as saying this.

On Friday, Arum said their side was willing to sit down with Golden Boy and the Nevada State Athletic Commission to work out the details of the testing. Nevada only requires a prefight and a postfight urine test, although it could also test blood if the sides asked.

But on Saturday, Arum, speaking from his vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, backtracked, saying even the three tests were out the window -- unless Nevada asked for them, which Arum knows is unlikely.

"Our position is that since the fight would be in Nevada, let [the Mayweather side] make any petition it wants to the commission," Arum said. "We wash our hands of it. If the commission wants to take blood, fine. We don't care. But we're not going to pander to this petty bull---- about how many days before the fight they can test and so forth. Who are they [Golden Boy] to tell Manny what he's supposed to do? How many times did [Golden Boy boss] Oscar De La Hoya ever give blood before a fight? I will not let this kid get pushed around.

"If they go to the commission and they ask for blood tests and the commission says yes, we will do whatever the commission says. The commission says blood testing, we'll do blood testing. We're not going to help it or oppose it. We're not going to give any credence to this nonsense. They want to sign a contract under the rules of the commission, fine. We don't want the fight if it means Manny is going to be pushed around. Let the commission tell us how many days in front they want blood. Let the commission pick a date to stop taking blood.

We trust the commission. Blood testing we think is unnecessary, but fine, we'll do it. But let the commission set the parameters. Let Golden Boy approach the commission and say we want to take blood when he's walking into the ring. Whatever the commission wants to do we will support, but we won't take part in this exercise in nonsense, a procedure which is contrary to how boxing has been conducted in Nevada for 40 years. The burden is not on us to tell the commission what to do."

His stance is that we will not help get the blood testing for this fight, EVEN if it is their choice NEVADA. This tells me they dont want the blood testing at all.

First it was they dont want USADA, now it is they wont help the cause of getting NEVADA to change the system for this fight.

So basically if Neveda says no we dont do blood test. That's it the fight is screwed. And i would like to know who fault is that?

Just remember olympic style testing was in the very first contract. No one had any problems with it until now.

Frankly, I am tired of that (Bob Arum) dumb ass old man. Let him, Pacquiao and Freddie Roach go to hell for all I care; because they really don't want to fight Mayweather. They are doing everything they can to back out of this fight and it is truly pathetic. The fans are the people that make the boxers and promoters rich; and if they aren't willing to comply to anything, then Mayweather can wait on the winner of the Mosley/Berto fight. Or he can fight Margarito or Cotto. Who needs a short punk ass cheater fukking ways?

    This is getting boring now!

I am toatally impartial so don't start calling me a hater........

The problem they had with the testing is it being random because that would mean they could take blood up to 48 hours before the fight (thats my understanding of the testing anyway). Roach does not want Manny tested closer than a week.

They could allow his wife to do it and it wouldn't make a difference. It is the timing of the tests that is the issue here!

People accused mayweather of tryin to get out of the fight when his demands werent that unreasonable as he has to take the same tests but now it sounds more like manny wants out of the fight. If the fight still happens mayweather is alredy winnin the battle of mind games.

I think the Mayweathers and Golden boy might be getting to Pac, mentally, like no one has. Whatever you wanna say about Floyd, he can really get the upper hand in negotiations. Things are not looking good in the camp, IMHO.

I don't like the argument Arum uses, saying that the system used in Nevada has been used for over decades and is proven. He fails to realize that these illegal substances are constantly reengineered to by pass detection. The bottom line is, Systems need to keep up. I think this situation/fight just might change the way testing is done in future boxing fights.

Dose not look good for the Pac camp...

You guys don't see the irony in all of this.
You only gave a **** about the testing and the USADA and all this blood test/PED bull**** because Floyd Mayweather made some stupid ass accusations that he couldn't back up. That is the cause of all this hassle and all these negotiations. Floyd wanted to damage Pacquiao's momentum after he eclipsed him as the best fighter of this era.
You have all been sold an idea by mayweather and you bought it. Based on absolutely nothing.
No proof, no links, no connections. Just a good old fashioned accusation.
You are all being played. Simple.

So much for the idea that Floyd came up with this elaborate scheme to weasel out of the fight that would have required him to know up front that Manny and Bob would do and say anything they could come up with to avoid olympic style testing. Not that it made any ****ing sense whatsoever to begin with, but that one has been thoroughly debunked.
