Won't argue the point, hence my hedge. I really do try and stick with what I know when I post even when being dragged into the gutter ..... But I digress. The version I saw really wasn't the Turbo Pascal version.
You're probably right cause Martinez has way too much speed and skill for Pavlik! Can't see Martinez KO'ing Pavlik but I can see a wide UD!! Good point on the Baldomir thing!!
He's significantly improved and he picked to fight the wrong fight v Froch anyway. I'd say he has improved tenfold since the Froch fight. Anyway, Pascal cant make 168, hence why he's not in the super 6 (he was invited).
Thanks. I didn't know that. Interesting tidbit. It would be interesting to get a time line on who was invited, in what order and on what dates.
There is nothing in Pavlik's arsenal that could beat Pascal, and the fight has to take place at LHW, I doubt Pascal would be at 100% fighting in SMW. Pascal uses angles, throws combinations off angles, and has a darn good chin.
Its so simple to see that Team Pavlik will not move up in weight to fight any elite fighter cause they already tried that and got exposed against a past his prime fighter!! Team Pavlik have enough B C and D level fighters right infront of him!!
Interesting match-up. I wouldn't be suprised if it went either way but I'm going with Pascal because I'm not convinced of Pavliks ability to fight above 160lb
They are both "good" fighters, but Pascal is bigger, probably stronger, slicker and more atheletic. He would mess Pavlik up and probably stop him late on.
I think you're being a bit generous there. Taylor isn't a good win since he was really weight drained. Pavlik lost every round in the first fight and then hit Taylor with a lucky rabbit punch while he wasn't looking. Taylor won every round in the second fight but the judges gave Pavlik a gift. Baldomir would easily beat Pavlik. Pavlik has no skill at all. He's feather-fisted and has a glass jaw. Calderon KO1 Pavlik.
You mean the Pascal 3.0 that took ten rounds to stop woeful journeyman Silvio Branco in one of the worst fights of the year? Full credit to him for his wins over Diaconu, but let's not blow this out of proportion.
