i watched malignaggi vs diaz II today. malignaggi is so rubbish. he's got some good qualities but his game is whack to say the least.

Paulie by decision. We base Khan on wins against woeful opponents like kotelnik and salita, malignaggi is far better than them. I'll get a hella lot of stick for this, but if you think khan's gonna walk through one of the better 140 fighters out there because he holds an alphabet title and has beaten absolutely no one, you're overrating him. I mean seriously i'm not trying to be a dick at all, but if charlton hammer gillingham and millwall as examples, do we expect them to hammer Liverpool?

Don't worry, we're getting there. Rafa's master plan for League one glory is well under way:deal

In regards to the Khan-Paulie fight, as I have said previously in this thread, its excellent matchmaking on the Khan camp's part. Paulie can't punch for **** (you really need power to beat Khan) and Khan trumps Paulie's main card (ie: speed).

Paulie has more experience, and may be a bit more saavy in the ring, but he doesn't really have the tools to exploit Khan's supposed weak spots (his punch resistance and his infighting ability).

I'd love to welcome you to league 1, you stuck up premiership snobs will love some of the away days.

Paulie could hurt khan i think, he can hurt diaz. I think paulie can match khan's speed and has the better jab. His chin is good and i don't think khan punches hard enough to get him in real trouble. It's more interesting than people make out, i think a lot of people are quick to go against paulie just because they don't like him.

Its a good calibre of opponent, no doubt.

But style wise I think this bout favours Khan. You could be right though, and Paulie might give him some problems; I just don't think he'll give him enough problems to get a win.

Khan will fight his own style of fast hands with boxing skills and fitness...

I could never rule out Khan getting wobbled by Paulie...but he is not heavy handed enough to make his opponents stay hit...

I think that Khan will keep it nice and long and box the ears off him, if a stoppage comes in the later rounds he will take it but I see a wide points win here...:good

Hey everyone. Been lurking on here for a while but this is my first post .

I think Paulie is a quality operator & deserves a bit more respect than he's getting in this bout. Although ill advised against Diaz, Paulie demonstrated once again that he's willing to mix it up on the inside, despite his natural tendancy to fight at range. If he's being constantly beaten to the punch on the outside perhaps dragging Amir into this scenario at least once during the fight could cause some problems. Surprisingly he did wobble the baby bull momentarily.

If Amir wins this and looks good in the process i'll be suitably impressed as Paulie is a world class 140lbs boxer and his stiffest test yet.
