despite fighting for decades and both have been ranked p4p fighter for many years.

What's with them that just don't click with boxing and casual fans?

Most genuine boxing fans have a huge appreciation for both fighters and you only have to read some of the threads posted on here to know that both have many fans and rightly so! I am a fan of both and have been for years.

Didn't Hopkins sell 1mill PPVs vs DLH and Trinidad each?

I'm a fan of both of them. RJJ is well known to casual fans, I don't know where you're from.

Hopkins is boring in most of his fights. RJJ was never really in what is called a superfight with a worthy opponent that made a exciting fight. His fights with both Tony and Hopkins were duds in terms of action:tired

The fact that Hopkins/Tarver and Jones/Ruiz sold out arenas puts holes in your statement.

I'm not sure about Hopkins, but I know plenty of casual's that love RJJ.

They both have huge followings as far as i know, however i think they would have both been much bigger if they actually fought each other,i am more of a Hopkins fan because i prefer his style of boxing and the fact RJJ did not ever truly test himself.
