*******s need not reply! Not accusing Pac of anything yet but his actions are not congruent with those of an innocent man. Still a fan though, but doubts are starting to creep in! Agree/disagree.....
No. I think it's more of not giving in to Floyd's demands. Pac agreed to some level of testing, specially the post-fight test. He immediately agreed to the random test being conducted by NSAC this week. This is just about ego and not losing face.
This is way beyond the rumours. Manny's actions seem odd(at least to me) for a man in his position and some of his statements have been a bit contradictory.
I dont think that Mayweather went into this with the idea that asking for a blood test would be this much trouble. And at the start when Roach was saying they would have no problem with any kind of testing made it sound like they would agree to any kind of testing, people tend to over look that point, not to mention that was the last thing that we have heard from Roach on this situation. Question is what if Floyd had not given in on one of pac's demands would you be blaming Pac?? Saying that it was his ego.
I think that this us is all top spin for the fight... It will generate more and more greenbacks....:yep
so manny can demand 10 million dollars penalty on floyd if floyd shows up past 147 but floyd can't demand a random drug test. You are a bias *****.
I'm something of a *******, but I'm replying anyway, this being a free country and all...anyway, personally, I don't think Pacquiao is on anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if he - or ANY athlete was. I somewhat understand why people are accusing him in the first place, but the fact that ridiculous demands are being made based on pure speculation makes no sense to me. How can you demand something that has never been done in boxing based on speculation? How? Now, if ever fighter that fights Margarito demands that his warps get checked 20 times, that makes sense. If someone demands that Shane Mosley undergo this Olympic style testing, that makes sense because he has been proven to do it before. Pacquiao has never tested positive. The fact that his performances are getting better and better are the reason why people are accusing him. To sum it up - no, I don't doubt his innocence if for nothing else, because he said he'd be willing to take the test, but not 2-3 days before the fight, but would even take one in the locker room after the fight. That's enough for me.
grimlocked it's more to it than ego. Bloodtesting is the most effective tests against certain masking agents; and to be randomly tested means that the fighters wouldn't know when to stop using therefore it is extremely effective. Pac knows this as well as Roach, Arum and Ariza. As with all technology that is advanced; there are certain forms of HGH that cannot be detected thru the urine test. Random is the surest and best way to go.
Floyd has a history of not making weight so it made sense to avoid that. Imagine if Pac trained for 10 weeks but the fight has to be cancelled because Floyd came in with the advantage of being overweight. Pac has no history of steriods aside from baseless accusations. And yes, I am a biased ***** if that's your opinion.
Agreed, at least theoretically. The experts are split on which one is more effective (blood vs urine) so there's not much sense in debating this since we are not experts. Floyd should have petitioned the NSAC to improve their testing if he feels that it is inadequate. NSAC just released information that they are in compliance with WADA, the same rules that USADA is compliant with. To be honest, none of this agencies have absolute accuracy. It's a cat and mouse game with drug testing. Both NSAC and USADA/Olympic testing have history of false negatives. Again, Floyd should have petitioned NSAC.
Manny failed to make weight early in his career as well, but yet people want to only have selective memory when it best suits their argument.
FH: What are your thoughts on the random Olympic-style drug-testing proposed by the Floyd Mayweather camp for both Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao prior to the fight? Roach: I have no problem with that whatsoever. Whatever kind of testing they want is no problem. I have trouble giving Manny Pacquiao vitamins. He won't take any protein drinks. No problem at all. PROVES UR STATEMENTS IN THEY ARE "RUMORS" WRONG
how come Freddie (Team Pac) said what he said but now that don't mean anything?? its clear that team pac is looking for a way out somehow
