No way that Mosely would step aside from Berto. That fight is only a few weeks away. They may as well just fight it and if Mosley wins that move forward. Of course I HIGHLY doubt Floyd would want to fight Shane because A) He's a very dangerous opponent, B) He won't make nearly the money he'd make against Shane as he would Pac, and C) Shane IS an admitted steroid user. Paul Williams is almost certainly out. Risk vs. reward is not good enough. Which leaves us with a fight against one of the Hatton brothers, have Bradley move up a weight class and beat up on a smaller guy, or just retire. When you actually sit down and look at what his options are, it makes it look all the more stupid how they could possibly walk away from the Pac fight. IMO Mosley and Williams, stylistically present just as much a challenge to Floyd as Paquiao did, with literally 1/4th the money.
exactly surely floyd willl make shane random blood test or else shane will come in juiced up to the eyeballs like he did v margarito
Anybody with 1/2 a ****in brain must know whats in play here with GBP:bbb the GBP/Mayweather camp know damb well that the Pac fight is a possible carreer $$$$$ ending fight & there are mush more easy pickings to be had over in the UK. You don't seriously think that Matthew hatton's name has been just plucked out of thin air???? Hatton promotions are now the European arm of GBP & Ricky's always said he & still wants to end his stint with a re-match with Floyd at Wembley Stadiam infront of 100K fans & which he will get. It's a massive earner for Floyd & Matthew is just the warm up & make no mistake that will sell out the Manchester stadium of 55K + huge PPv $$$. No way Floyd will ever fight a top name stateside at his age when he has at least these 2 big eeezieee $$$$$$ earner's in the UK & retires with his (0) intact. Again, think about it, Matthew Hatton's name just did'nt appear out of thin air, they,ve been working on this for a while but along comes Pacman beating Cotto & obviously everyone screams for the mega-showdown, it won't happen, also Ricky Hatton has been attempting to pitch a fight with DLH at Wembley as well. The connection is there to fleece the gullible & it will happen regardless of the disgust the genuine boxing fan may feel but Hatton fans ai'nt boxing fans in the main there 95% soccer fans so will flock to the banner when the battle flag is raised & they will PAY big $$$$$$ to see Floyd regardless. Eeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeee $$$$$$$$$$$$$ & no ****in risk:deal
I'm not really a fan of the two but I like them the way they box. I also don't understand on why Mayweather is making a "out of a rule" demand. This is the first time that happens in boxing that demand "NO NSAC" or if I am wrong, please tell me the history because I sometimes miss some chains of my memory. No anger emotions intended.
I doubt he will step aside either,Mosley and Williams will present some problems to Floyd obviously as will Manny,I think the easiest fight out of three for me is Mosley, not because he is a bad fighter he is far from it but he is made for Floyd,he will become the aggressor and be too open and Floyd will be able to counter that,Paul Williams stylistically is a nightmare for Floyd been a big man himself and been a fairly big puncher as well, however he is techincally flawed so Floyd will win that but it will be a tough fight,Manny is small and Floyd has always done well with small fighters so i think he would win that fight as well, but as you said he would get 4 times the money fighting Manny than in any of the others, the last superfight that was not in the heavyweights was Hagler vs Leonard and it took Hagler 3 months before he agreed to that and i think this will be the same, superfight negotations hardly ever go smoothly and this is not much different.
I mean the whole world is going to be watching Pac next fight, I can't see why he would even risk juicing now the heat is on.... not that I'm saying he is, but having all eyes on him as a pretty damn good preventitive measure....
The only possible money they could make off that fight would be in the UK though, and I think people are overestimating that. Matthew Hatton is only known as Ricky's brother. He's not actually actually a popular fighter in the UK and doesn't automatically bring with him Ricky's fan base. In the US this fight would be seen as a farce and they'd probably lose money if they put it on PPV. And in the UK I'm sure it would do decent business, but it wouldn't do 1/4 of what Mayweather/Hatton did, and they'd need huge numbers in the UK to offset the flop it would be in the US.
