While we are on the topic of Main Event, they'll be showing the K1 Max GP Final this year. Which will hopefully mean K1 Max next year.

Right I'm going to have to dumb this down a bit it seems. Calzaghe v Kessler IS ON FOXTEL. Instead of it being on Mainevent, where you'll most likely pay $50 for it, it's on the new channel called Setanta. This channel costs $15 a month to get. There is NO CANCELLATION FEE. The minimum you have to have it for is one month.

JOE CALZAGHE vs MIKKEL KESSLER is the cheapest Pay per view in Australian cable tv history. THIS IS GOOD NEWS!

    :D

Bull**** mate it is the biggest backstab in Australian boxing history! Once again the find a way to screw us around. Why not just mainevent? Or sky ringside? I rather pay good money knowing we would get unbias people talking about the fight or no crappy TV ads.

This is just dog **** mate just another way to take good fights away from pubs who dont have this or people at home who dont have it and MUST order it well to hell with them mate because this happens now you can bet it will happen again and again AND next time the CANCELLATION FEE will be there for all to see MARK MY WORDS MY FRIENDS this is just a scam to get people sucked into doing this.

    Right..............................

You're just one of those poor people who never pays for a fight and watches strictly at the pub... now you're worried it won't be shown at your local. I pay 40 or 50 for every pay per view on main event with the shitty b grade american commentators who are usually very biased one way or the other, paying 15 for this superfight sounds like a superb deal to me, British commentators are usually more realistic with what they're seeing from my experience and i don't know about ads during the fight, but still i'll take that if i'm only paying $15 TO WATCH CALZAGHE VS KESSLER

lol clearly you know nothing about me I have booked EVERY and let me say that again EVERY fight that has been shown on Mainevent for the last 4 years straight and i mean EVERY fight and before that i booked just the ones I wanted to see.

Plus where you say "British commentators are usually more realistic" Mate that is like saying Barry Michael isn't a Mundine Supporter lol they are shocking BUT yes a lot of US commentators are bias but nothing like the English. They and the Australians are very bias towards their own fighters to a level where it is painfull to watch.

Why wont i book this channel because It is a scam simple as that They will do this and next time you want to book it I'll bet ya you get stuck with some crappy package for 3 months or something. Wait and see mate this is how they will cash in on fights that Mainevent wont get to see.

(Forgot i did miss a few fights but they were Mundine fights that I could not believe were happening with a shocking undercard, Besides that i booked the rest)

Still 3 months = $45 if they do do something like that in the future which i bet they won't that's still comparable to the price you pay for a fight on main event, really mate you have nothing to complain about, fact is you're getting this fight for $15

Either way it is gonna be one of the first times ever I wont book a fight and I am a hardcore Kessler fan from long back and I'll be damned if I have to order a channel to get a fight a Tv Channel that covers Soccer :think it aint worth it.

Sorry mate...I don't get you at all. Ok, if at the end of the day they do change their policy and you have to have it for a 3 months minimum or something... THAT EQUALS $45. It's still cheaper than Main Event!

BUT FOR THIS FIGHT AT THE VERY LEAST - YOU DON"T!

Do you know how much cheaper this will actually be for pubs? If they've got Setanta, which a heap do, they've got the fight for nothing extra.

    Anyway...

I'll be thinking of ya on November 4th when I've paid my $15 and watching the most important fight in Super Middleweight history, Enzo Macca defending his Cruiser title and Gavin Rees his Lt Welter!

I can't believe people are getting upset about the whole Setanta deal...
put it this way, if I can get 4 good fight cards in the next year, then then the channel has paid for itself.

    Joe v Kessler is one...

I cant believe what im reading... $15 for a MEGAFIGHT and people are crying its not on Mainevent where we would pay $40 or $50? We are actually upset we are paying less is that it? It doesnt feel like boxing if we dont get ripped off?
