I pick Floyd to beat Cotto by UD. But since he'll never fight anyone his own size and has decent talent from now on, we'll never find out.

That being said, I also pick Floyd to beat Matthew Hatton in the future PPV blockbuster. :yep

If midget Pacquiao was able to have Cotto running for dear life imagine what a bigger, stronger, faster, more skilled Floyd would do. It would end in a tragedy.

We dont even need Pacquiao to diagnose this fight. He was running from Joshua Clottey, who doesnt even have near the offensive variety of Floyd Mayweather.

I don't think Floyd hits harder than Manny, and he also doesn't pressure like Pacquiao. That's a bad comparison.

very true, Cotto has always been a runner. Had it not been for Benji Estevez cleaning up a "spill" like it was a supermarket, Shane would have knocked out Cotto cold. He had him running around the ring like a baby deer out in the wild.

Mayweather would wait for Cotto to get knocked out by Cintron at 154, come back down after his third knockout loss, then avoid him and fight Mathew Hatton.

Floyd actually wobbled De La hoya (at 154 might I add). Pac hit De La HOya with everything but the kitchen sink and couldn't even slightly stun him. Floyd is without a doubt a stronger puncher than Pac. There is no debating that.

What are you talking about? When you say alt. do you mean that I have more than one account? NO. This is my only account so quit assuming I'm someone else.

Castillo gave a blueprint for dealing with Floyd. It doesn't matter if it was 8 years ago, styles make fights. Floyd hasn't changed at all except his punch output has dropped considerably and he's 100% safety first now.

Cotto would have a way better chance then Marquez. For one he's a big natural welterweight. He has very underrated boxing skills, and a pretty tight defense. His vulnerability is uppercuts, and Mayweather doesn't throw them that often. Also Cotto's problem has always been punchers and workrate fighters, guys who push him back and not vice versa.

Shane, Clotty, Margarito, Pac all beat him and all have different styles so your point is moot.

Yes because Clottey took the fight to Cotto. Goddamn *******s :rofl

To beat Cotto, you need speed and a decent boxing ability. Dudes a B level fighter at best.

Hell Zab Judah was giving it to him before Cotto decided to box his testicles.

Pacquaio had him running because #1 he's a puncher , which Mayweather isn't, and #2 he's workrate fighter, which mMayweather isn't.

Mayweather stronger then Pacquaio? Possibly, but no way he hits harder.

Floyd's gameplan these days is to throw 1-2 potshots and get away (i.e. the Roy Jones gameplan). Cotto's physicality, pressure style, crouching stance with a tight guard, good boxing skills, and excellent body attack could trouble Floyd.
