cotto fought margarito, shane, clottey and pacquiao. floyd fought who? if you will go by this, it was floyd who was overrated all along especially at welter.

I've seen all of those fights. He's been in some decent scraps but never a war. He's shown that he has a good enough chin to take a flush shot here and there, but he's never shown that he can take a sustained beating. Obviously he's never had to, but it's still an answered question.

Cotto fought those guys and in most people's eyes lost all four fights.

Floyd has fought top competition while coming up through the ranks. For example, people seem to forget guys like Corrales who was undefeated and had a crazy ko ratio. Most boxing people thought Corrales was going to kill Floyd. Yet people seem to have selective memory when it comes to Floyd.

but cotto proved that he still got what it takes in his last fight but he was just outclassed by pac. again this has nothing to do with how floyd will approach the fight with cotto. heck floyd did not even stopped a bloated jmm, how was he suppose to stop cotto?

Floyd may very well beat him and any other fighter thrown about, but until he proves it, all his fantasy matchups will just be that - fantasy, open for debate, no definitiveness, question mark after all is said on both sides. It's unfortunate that boxing fans witnessing one of the best fighters in their lifetime waste his prime years when he had and still has, opportunities to prove it. Four years and counting and he's not getting any younger.

People around here think Floyd is superman . It's funny. He's never fought a real live threat in his entire career. All of his opponents aside from a few, were either at a major disadvantage physicality or stylistically. He's yet to face a top welter, and has never faced a true threat.

and this goes to show how floyds level of competition was at welter. you had to pull out corrales to prove that floyd is not overrated. yah yah corrales is a good win, how would floyd do against the top welters of his time? its easy to say that he'll beat them all, but the question is, did he fought them?

Uhh Pac couldnt stop JMM yet stopped Cotto. Slow down *******, you're gonna confuse yourself.

JMM is far better technically and defensively then Cotto. JMM is extremely intelligent as a boxer, far more intelligent then Cotto is. As to why JMM was able to time and pick Pac off, while Cotto got drawn into a brawl.

Cotto wouldnt know what to do to nuetralize Floyds leaping left hook, lead rights, and countering. JMM was able to nuetralize some of Floyds stuff, he just got overpowered. Cotto would catch alot of punches on his face. His defense is just porous. Only way to describe it.

well, he'd like to fight Pac but Pac is in hiding at this time. If that doesn't fall through he'll take on the winner of the Berto/Mosley fight. Who else is there? A cheating scumbag Margarito?

All of his opponents up to Marquez were bigger then Floyd. Corrales was the best in the world at 130 rated in top 5 P4P. Castillo was the best at 135. DLH was the best at 154, and Hatton was the best at 140 even though he fought him at 147. Judah was faster then Floyd and probably more power pound for pound. Floyd was just more skilled technically and smarter/more composed.

All of the fighters listed outwieghed Floyd by as much as 10lbs on fight night.

Damn, im really starting think you dont know what the **** you are talking about. Have you actually seen any of Floyds fights?

I'm talking about speed, not size. And Zab was one of the few real quick guys he fought, and he made Floyd look ordinary for 6 rounds. Floyd won the fight because he's smarter, and also because Zab has tendency to slow down late in fights and melt under pressure.

Cotto destroyed Judah. Pac wiped out Hatton in 2 rounds. Pac made Hoya quit on his stool without hardly taking a punch. Castillo and Corales were good wins, but were they real live threats? I would never give those guys any chance to beat Floyd, and yet Castillo pretty much beat Floyd in the first fight.

jmm has the styles advantage over pac. cotto's style is right for pacquiao. pac's style could be right for floyd. floyds style is not suitable for cotto. styles makes fights. floyd would most probably not initiate the action so the only thing he would have left is his counters which i think would win him the fight. but it would not be the way you are imagining it like a hatton-fest.
