The problem with Maloney's 22nd Jan card

It is a brilliant card, but the fight I am the least excited about is the Napa main event. Being FFN it will start at 10.00pm and Napa never finishes a fight early. This means 1/2 the show will have gone and I doubt if I will get to see all the undercard.

I assume Ashley Sexton will follow, then Larry with the Sykes fight squeezed in at the end.

Napa is boring to watch. He just struts about thinking he is amazing because he is fighting a journeyman.

I think that Sykes v Johannsen is a much better headline fight and this show should be in the North either at Leeds Town Hall or The Barnsley Metrodome...:yep

I think the Sykes fight would be next (Johansson is a bigger name than Sexton or Olu), then it would be Olu's fight with possibly a round shown of the Sexton fight. I like Napa though, so I want to see the main event. How I would like it to line up:

    10:00pm Napa vs McDonnell
    11:00pm Sykes vs Johansson
    11:40pm Olubamiwo vs Belshaw
    11:55pm Ahmed's entrance

When Sky pick up cards on FFN they tend to only have couple fights after the main event at most as they need some fights already in the can for highlights if needed (even with Napa there could be a cut)

Napa is a quality little fighter with excellent defensive skills!!!!! He won the European title and it wern't his natural weight category!!! He just has no punch power!! Him and Booth should only fight again if its for a world title they both deserve it.

Sky just need to consider their scheduling a bit more, that's all.

I remember the bill with three title fights, that Maloney put together... think it was the Rhodes vs Moore one.... where only brief highlights of Napa vs Davies and Edwards vs Bayaar were shown.

The one time Maloney puts on a decent show - hardly any of it gets shown :-(

Contrast that with the Haskins vs Broadhurst bill..... the full 12 of the worst fight ever, even worse than Nelson vs De Leon/Akinwande, and some gross mismatches on the undercard.

    Frank Warren is the man.

    Did I just say that?
