Green is 37 this year and has said quite openly he only wants the big fights. I don't see a problem with a guy wanting to make the most money from his job..

Maybe because hops is p4p # 3 maybe and becuase of that he can make millions out of fighting hops and maybe you need to realize that green was fighting super middle weight up until his few fights...so you could argure that green isnt a genuine cruiser weight either..

    ****en twit....

Maybe you should learn to read moron. I at many points in this thread acknowledge the fact that Green isn't a genuine cruiserweight; in fact I referred to him as a 'light heavy masquerading as a world champion at a weight division above'.
My point, which none of his acolytes have been able to counter, is that he is more than happy to parade himself as a 'three' weight world champion. I imagine that his status as the IBO cruiserweight champion is what is being used to sell his fights in Australia; that and the reputation/calibre of his opponents.
Instead of using this bogus non-title why the **** doesn't he get himself down to 175lbs, a weight he can clearly make, and win a genuine world title and defend it against credible opposition, instead of passing himself of as a legit 200lb champ, and a destroyer of legends.
I appreciate that Green is the main attraction in his homeland, and it is he & not Hopkins who will sell this fight to the casuals in Australia. However a 60-40 split in Hopkins favour still represents a massive payday for Green and he should take it.
And after the inevitable beatdown maybe he'd like to achieve something of substance in his career, and try to fill out that **** poor resume of his.

Oh and as for being a 'super middleweight up until his last few fights'; I thought he was badly weight drained at 168lb hence the clear cut loss to Mundine?
Can't use that one as an excuse for why he shouldn't fight genuine cruisers.

Hopkins has been talking about fighting Haye at heavyweight. Jones has fought as heavyweight.

The only reason Danny went after the ibo trinket belt was because it was the only way he could get RJJ in the ring:deal
Now hes using it to try and get another big name so what the **** is wrong with that FFS:patsch
Danny is trying to get a fight with the p4p no4 and Here you are crying about Danny not fighting a contender at 175.
Since as you say Danny has a **** poor resume who do you think will look better on his resume Campillo or a legend like Bhop?
Once Danny destroys bhop maybe it will shut you fukwits up for a while:fire

Not sure but I would pick Bernard Hopkins to beat any cruiserweight in the world and the bookies would probably agree with me.

Danny Green's main objective was to get a shot ATG in the ring?
He won that IBO title on the same night Jones Jr beat Lacy; so at the point when he made the conscious decision to try and coax Jones Jr into fighting him, Jones's best win in 5 years was a blown up inactive welterweight.
Jones Jr had also been starched brutally. Twice.
So you've just admitted Danny Green was chasing an old man with no credible victories in five years.
Why did Danny Green retire? Why didn't he try to defend his title and try to assert himself as the man at 175lb, thus earning a right to fight these A list names he seeks?
All Green has is his nationality as a selling point. If he'd tried to earn his dues he would've fallen short as he had done numerous times earlier in his career.

    MONEY:deal:deal

  15. Theyre almost as bad as each other. :verysad

He's likable, thats why he's a good bloke. He's the type of guy who you'd want this luck to happen to.

He fought at his level zeke, he's liked by the public enough to make a career out of it. He was trying to get Tarver a few years back. Guys followed just because they're likable tend to only risk it for the big fights. Why ruin a good thing?

Pavliks earned a career as a respectable hard man because he has 0% personality until now.
