Anyone else think that naming his child "Royal Tiger Champ Dawson" was an odd choice, or is it just me?

Chad is an incredible fighter, its too bad not enough boxing fans can appreciate what he does in the ring. But if anything is to blame for his lack of popularity, and little bit of disdain as I can gather in some of you guys' posts, its been his managment and matchmaking. He spent 2 years fighting 40 year olds, in what weren't crowd pleasing fights.

Personally I'd say he should fight Tavoris Cloud in March. Chad is a natural counterpuncher and a guy like Cloud who barrels forward would be best to make it a fight that casual fight fans would enjoy. It would be an EASY, EASY fight for Chad- another belt and another nice look for his record.

After that he should fight Pascal in August, another belt and another exciting fight. After that......I guess thats when you begin moving classes

    Seriously?

Not being one of the most popular fighters out there doesn't mean people don't want to watch him fight. He's a very good fighter in a somewhat weak division, great speed and footwork, respectable power and hard to hit. Very difficult to beat and his second fight with Johnson was a masterpiece imo.

On topic, I agree with Pimp C, just stay busy vs a decent opponent and wait for Pascal/Cloud.

I would love to see him fight Cloud. Dawosn and Cloud are in the top 4 of fighters in the division and a fight between them would pretty much tell us who is the best at LHW.

Problem is if Chad beats Tavoris and Glen beats Yusfah Mack, Chad will fight have to fight Glen again.

Do you want to see Dawson/Johnson III?

Yes, seriously. He had two fights with Tarver which didn't manage 3000 ticket sales combined. Then he fought Johnson in his own hometown which again did atrocious ticket sales and the people who did turn up spent much of the fight booing Dawson.

To be honest I think Pascal and Cloud should be stay busy fights for Dawson, not something he's looking forward to.

There's just noone for him to fight. He will have to move down to 168 or up to 200. Personally I think he should offer Adamek the rematch at 200, whup him again, and use that to create some interest in himself. Treading old ground, but what else?

The IBF is an ******* when it comes to enforcing mandatories. They setup all these title eliminators when it's not necessary. They do not give the champions any leverage what so ever.

They literally control their champions and give them no respect. If there is no IBF title eliminator, Dawson would gladly fight Tavoris Cloud.
