If Toney secures a fight with Lesnar...

this is true, and mercer vs sylvia is a prime example, anyone with 2 brain cells knows that if they were to fight again and sylvia didn't act like a complete idiot and didn't try to stand with him he would win 9/10 times. Boxing itself is an important part of MMA, it can win you fights, but it can't build careers.

It wouldn't happen in a million years. Therefore, there's no point in even answering this hypothetical. It's akin to asking a Christian, "If James Toney knocked out the Devil, would rapists go to Heaven?"

 

why would it collapse, it might even bring it more viewers. That's what the UFC was when it first started it had a boxer against a wrestler, a kick boxer against a BJJ guy etc.
A guy with the boxing skills like Toney is still capable of winning a fight against anybody but the chances of beating a beast like Lesnar is very small.

Lesnar could prob pick up toney over his head and throw him into the crowd just like Thunderlips did to Rocky in Rocky 3.

 

Who would win between TONEY-couture???? or Toney, Liddell?? lesnar is pretty sick so he won't be fighting for 2 or 3 years...

 

Toney's life will be at risk if he "secures a fight with Lesnar" even if lesnar ain't fully healed

 

Even as a true boxing fan, i've only recently got into the UFC/MMA thing, and i've gotta say... James Toney would be on the receiving end of possibly one of the biggest ass whoopins of all time.

why are we talking about him fighting Lesnar? put him in with a fighter at a lower level and still watch him get his head kicked off. If I was lesnar and somebody brought this fight up to me I would slap them across the mouth
