This fight would be on. Plain and simple. He tried to change the rules and history of the sport, and now us fans are left with mud on our face. If everyone of his future opponents dont have to undergo olympic style blood tests, it'll say alot in regards to if Floyd really wanted this fight with Pac!

All big fights now have special stipulations. Why because Pacman decides not to adhere to one of them, now it is Floyds fault for imposing it?? Pacman imposed an unprecedented $10million per pound penalty. That's ok in your eyes, but Floyd having stipulations isn't. Way to spin the story and contradict yourself.

And let's see if Yuri Foreman has to agree to a 10 million per pound penalty.

Floyd has history of not making contractual weight. Not Foreman. :hi:

You can be ****in sure Pacman will get all his own way with negotiations for that one. If he wouldnt let Cotto go 2 punds heavier for their fight, he will hardly let Foreman fight at full blown Light-Middleweight.

Regardless of what May did, all Pac has to do is take a drugs test, for 40,000,000 smackeroons. On top of that he is the guy who has lost in all thse games.

Thanks for bringing up another point Johnnytightlips, Where in boxing history does it say a welterweight champion cannot weight 147lbs the day before he has to defend his title???? Pacman and Roach successfully changed the WW limit ( you know the weightclass SRL, SRR, Duran, Hearns, etc all fought in?) to 145lbs.

Wake up people, this is how boxing works nowadays. Fighters negotiate for every advantage they can get. The only difference here is that Pac refused to give in to one of Floyds demands.

Answer this; say Cotto refused to agree to the catchweight and that fight fell apart, would you pacfans be blaming Pac for trying to change history and ruining the fight???

And Cotto? Why wouldn't Pac let Cotto weigh in at 147lbs??

why did pac enforce that penalty? because floyd was found cheating against marquez. pac has never failed a test so he has the right to say no. the two things are very different

catchweights are a part of boxing history, what floyd has asked is new and pac has the right to say no. is it o.k for fighters to ask for random blood tests anytime they have an unsure feeling? you cant just choose certain fighters without evidence because that is not fair.

Not for championship fights and no, they are not! SRL didn't ask Hagler for a catchweight.
