    Faster than Cotto

    Better boxer than Cotto

    Better defense than Cotto

    Better chin than Cotto

Manny may have bitten off too much against Clottey. Only thing Josh lacks is a killer instinct and a hard punch.

And still managed to lose to Cotto with a horrific cut... he's not better than Cotto really.

His toughness and defense will indeed be a problem though. Pac is not getting the KO this time.

I agree with some points but overall Skill...Cotto a notch above Clottey...Clottey is not going to stand there and get battered like Cotto, Hatton or Oscar...I'm going with Manny on points due to Clottey's delcine in stamina in the later rounds of the his fights...I'm a Clottey fan and I understand his weakness...With that being said...Many people are going to overlook Manny because he lost to Cotto and think Manny is going to blow him away...People who thinking this way will be in for a shock to see how tough CLottey actually is!

Clottey's jab is probably the best in the welterweight division and it will give pacquiao alot of problems.

    Ok. So Clottey V Manny.

    Interesting.

    Clottey is a solid fighter.

Clottey couldn't beat a badly cut Cotto.

I cannot see the mass appeal for the casual fan.

It's going to be a tough fight because of his defense.

Clottey has no chance at an upset. I'll paste my exact post from another thread.

This fight is terrible. Sure Clottey is a tough, large welter. He is also all too often stationary and has prolonged stretches of inactivity in his fights. He does not have one punch knockout power which is a problem when you are as inactive as Clottey is. He has proven that he does not have the will to take over a fight when it is there to be won.

He has shown us enough to know that he will never beat an elite fighter. He will put up a solid, losing effort and make Pac work for his win, but he has zero chance of beating Manny. Pac should have signed to fight Bradley. If this is Pac's way of staying active for the Mosley/Berto winner than it is commendable. Otherwise, this is a pointless match.

Only due to lack of aggression, which I'm betting he will be well schooled against after the Cotto loss and with a chance to hang an L on Manny.

I don't see this fight happening. Pac will retire soon and he is just fighting for legacy and/or money. No disrespect to Clottey but he is barely clinging to top 5 welterweight so I don't see how he can add any value to what Pac is trying to achieve at this stage of his career. Also, why would he fight the dude who was beaten by the dude he beat?

I think this is just Arum's negotiating tactic to get what he wants from Floyd.
