Apparently the new one 'Beneath The Dome' is **** hot. I'm ploughing through 'The Gunslinger' at the moment, then onto the rest of The Dark Tower.

 

i couldn't get my head round the gunslinger books.there is a recent stephen king book that i liked but can't remember the title.i know that a bit of the stand was borrowed for it.
i think the old woman was tougher than flagg p4p

I liked it but it´s not the best book I´ve read. That would be "the unbearable lightness of beeing" by Milan Kundera. Great book about the human nature, the nature and different kinds of love and some of the work of Nietzsche and Beethoven - I´m a big fan of both.


I was a bit dissapointed by the end of "The Stand". I have expected something more spectacular. Loved Captain Trips and the fall of Harold Lauder though. Some very interesting characters in this book like that black guy who couldn´t speak, and I can´t remember the name, and the Trashcan Man :good

Stephen King is a very interesting author. I especially like how all of his books are somehow linked.

 

I like Pynchon too, his latest, Inherent Vice, was a trippy and interesting read. Ain't got round to finishing Gravitys Rainbow yet, its mind boggling

Slaughterhouse 5 was a great read too, by Kurt Vonnegut. George RR Martins A Game Of Thrones-Epic

i read one by harlan coben a bit back that was a real corker.tess gerritsen is good too

I think Hagler deserves a mention, was avoided like the plague until he finally won the title.
