If this is true, then the Clottey announcement must have shocked the Floyd camp. With the earlier Pac stance of Foreman/Malig, it would not have been so embarassing for Floyd to fight M. Hatton. But with the Clottey announcement, Floyd is left with no option but to look for a legit challenge. With this in mind, it would be better for Floyd to go ahead with Pac instead of fighting a legit high risk challenge for less money.
I don't see the Pacquiao camp agreeing to anything less than 21 days. Mayweather's camp would probably compromise and take it.
