This could ruin everything and totally be dub'd as the dumbest decision any fighter in history has ever made. And it could possibly ruin TopRank.

I would rather lose to Floyd than to Clottey ... atleast I know i'm going to get my money's worth.

There's no going backwards ... and fighting Clottey is going backwards. It's not going to produce that many buys if its on PPV and I doubt that HBO would truly back it ... it may end up on one of those bull**** TopRank PPV's.

I say fight and fight each other first ... anything else is ridiculous.

Its ok to go backwards every once in a while especially when you are as active as Pac has been. In 2 years he'll have fought Marquez at 130, Diaz at 135, Oscar at 147, Hatton at 140, Cotto at 145, and Clottey at 147.

Even if he loses, it won't be the end of the world. Its not like people will say that Clottey is a greater fighter than Pac.

The time for Pacquiao v Mayweather is now, any unforeseen losses or injuries from either seriously dilutes the attractiveness of the event.

if he loses he loses. i actually think theres a good chance of that happening. pacquiaos hand got messed up fighting cotto and clottey is a lot bigger, usually weighing almost 170 on fight night. at least he doesnt pick easy fights.

There is a very slim possibility of Clottey winning. Pacquiao will accumulate points when Clottey sits behind his guard.

Clottey has a low work rate

Clottey does not pack a punch

What chance, other than a flash KO, does he have?

I will topple over in ecstasy! LMAO!

He needs to fight Mayweather and call it a day. Why in the hell put yourself at risk when there is that much money on the table? Mayweather is favored win, but this is boxing. Manny stands a chance (sadly) of literally transcending Ali and becoming a WORLD icon. We ain't even talking the monetary gain.

Pac is a fool, a cheat, or a combination of the two.

He should beat clotty but what it shows is manny is taking on good opponents as people think there are chances he could lose. Everyones going to talk about chins and clotteys power and his ability to absorb punches. Pac will punch him out of rhythm and clottey will revert to complaining lke he does and fro there on will be anothe Pacquiao win.

i love how people are so surprised that mannys taking such a big risk with little reward.

the answer to that is because hes not floyd.

Pac has options because he still holds the linear title at 140lbs the buzz over the fight will be over and if the fight happens it would be no point to think Pac as a possible winner - no matter how Pac loses to Clottey (should he lose).

people always think pac has a good chance of losing but when pac wins, all of a sudden they knew all along pac would win and that his opponents were shot or weight drained.

True that. Before Cotto everyone was saying Pac would get found out. When he won Cotto is washed up etc. I respect Hela Hoya was old and Hatton didnt look good but similar talk came up then too.

I wonder what will be said about Clottey. Probably go back to accusing him of steroids.

This will be on HBO.. U can't really sell me on PPV with Pac-Man vs Clottey. Arum just want to get that "In House" money.. Sorry it doesn't make more than Pac-Man vs the winner of Shane/Berto especially not Pac vs PBF
