Check it out. Vlad stopped Ray Austin in the second round which was Vlad's mandatory, now WBC has Austin as Vitali's mandatory. Vitali by knockout.

How does Austin keep on getting mandatory? I think Don King still owns Austin. Is that it?

But will get his ass kicked. Wait correction Maskaev got KO'd so he is the number 1 by default

    Talk about BS....

Ya know, heavyweights actually had some decent momentum there for awhile to build on.... sad to see that almost everything is being done wrong to kill it, like usual.

Your right but Vitali will probably retire in the next year or 2 I would think he needs to cement his legacy and close with a big win. stopping Austin like his brother or beating Haye I think the boys at Conastota would give him the answer he wants to hear if its Haye. Vitali is looking to solidify his legacy not just win an easy pay day

    Mandatory is Mandatory.

If Vitali will not fight Austin, he could drop the belt and fight who he wants. Just simple. If he will not drop the belt he has to box his mandatory.

But i doubt that Vitali will stop Austin as fast as Wlad did.

    Just vacate.

    It's a pointless fight.

Austin won an eliminator, but he's got to fight a final eliminator. That was going to be against Maskaev before he got beat, not sure who it will be instead.

    Yes.

Vacate and then ask for a WBA eliminator.

I thought Austin was going to fight Solis for it.

I thought Austin had to possibly face Solis for the mandatory shot and if that happens Solis would win and we wouldn't have to worry about Austin getting his shot. If Austin does face Solis and beat him then he would actually be putting a nice run together and I see nothing wrong with him getting a shot. I have no desire to see Vitaly run right over Austin and he might be a slightly above average heavyweight but he is out there earning his shot.
