Floyd is to Blame!

Although I am an American and a Floyd fan, I think it's plain to see that Floyd is responsible for the richest fight in history going the way of the Titanic. First off, let's get one thing straight....Manny Pac has never failed a test for steroids or illegal substances in the past decade. No matter what some people might imply, there is no reason at all to suspect him of cheating and anyone who says otherwise doesn't have a leg to stand on.

From the outset, it was clear that Floyd wanted to destroy Manny in the press, but he went too far. He demanded Olympic style blood tests that he had absolutely no right or authority to request. In fact, I can't remember the last time a fighter made such a ridiculous request. Sure, boxers often argue over glove size, ring size, even who enters first.

But it is as clear what the implication was when Floyd demanded these tests...He was essentially accussing Manny of being a cheater in the press. I'm not sure what Pretty Boy expected Manny to do? As a proud fighter, what did he expect?

In my humble opinion, he intentionally scuttled this fight because he doesn't want any part of Manny...at least not now.

I don't know Pac and can't accuse him of anything but Shane did steroids and admits to it but no dirty test though.

I think floyds intentions for demanding random blood tests are not because he truly believes pac is on PED’s, but instead because he knew that pac had issues with taking blood before a fight. He knew that if pac agreed to the random tests that he would have a mental advantage going into the fight, because pac stated publicly (back in 2005 after he lost to Morales), that he felt dizzy, headaches, and was weakened after giving blood two days before the fight (though this most likely is all a mental thing for pac). So, by demanding these random blood tests floyd puts himself in a win/win situation.

If pac doesn’t agree to the random blood tests, then he looks like he’s hiding something.
If pac does agree to the random blood tests, then floyd has a mental advantage going into the fight.

I think floyd expected the latter situation, and never really thought pac would deny the tests and subject himself to such scrutiny or skepticism from his fans.

Floyd was just trying to gain the advantage going into the fight, since he couldn’t do it other ways like weight, ring size, etc.

Floyd has stated in the past that the fight doesn’t begin when the bell rings, it begins with the negotiations. (it was a good attempt, but it kind of backfired)

You're missing the point. It's possible that any and every fight out there takes some kind of illegal substance. But what gives Floyd the right to make these ridiculous demands. He has said in several interviews that he thinks Manny is on something? Where's is proof? Sorry, but adults don't have the right to make questionable, slanderous statements with impunity. The guy just needs to grow up. atsch

That's perfectly logical. However, I've never seen a fighter take requests to that extreme before. I mean, really, when is the last time a fight of this magnitude has been scuttled? It really almost never happens. And while there is blame on both sides, I think Mayweather went way too far.

Sorry, but Floyd beat JMM easy, and JMM gave Clottey's next opponent hell. Why would Floyd risk losing 30 mil to smear his opponent. Clottey's next opponent AGREED TO THE TESTING, and then backed out-period! Clottey's next opponent has no excuse for giving up a 30 mil payday over a 10 day testing dfference. Fuk Clottey's next opponent, Floyd move on...

You say truthful statements. However, consider this...

Fighters have cheated the system before. In addition, its reasonable cause for Manny to be using something. Therefore, it is not unreasonable to request a higher level of testing.

Your the same guy who claimed PBF will beat Pac and beat him easy. Hell, even Ko Pac.

So please explain to me how or why did he screw up his biggest payday by asking for a test that will have no outcome on the fight? If PBF was going to school him why did he ask for this test? 40 million for PBf to school Pac is what you were claiming, but lets not talk about that. lets talk about the magic potion (nothinfg exist that will make Pac a better boxer) that some how will make Pac a better boxer.

Pbf somehow found out that the reason pac was defeated by morales in their first fight was due to the blood being drawn close to fight night.

Pbf saw this opportunity and grabbed it. Demanded pac to get his blood test so CLOSE to fight night.

Pac also knew this that's why he didnt agree to pbf's demands and hence, the 30 day window.

I'm not a psychologist, and most likely neither are you...but that is what happened. He smeared Manny multiple times in the press and implied that he was on illegal substances. That is a matter of public record. Then he rubbed salt in the wound by requesting these ridiculous test that he has never, in his 10 year career, requested of anyone. My question to you is why? Why is it suddenly so important that a naturally smaller opponent be tested for illegal substances when he (Manny) has never tested positive for them in his career? ?? ?

If it was so crazy a request why did Roach on film say they would of course accept it no problem because they know Manny is clean. Only for them to later back out.

It is, in my opinion, unreasonable to request these thing out of the blue. Manny has never tested positive for illegal substances before. Were Floyd to fight Mosley (who has admitted to taking illegal subtances) he had better request the highest level of testing possible...or else this is clearly an excuse for Floyd to get out of this fight.
